I think main event goes to a decision, it will get intense on championship rounds I think. Probably gonna see who is a better fighter period. I do not see this fight finishing, they both will respect each other, Robert is probably thinking about implanting Jan's plan of taking Izzy down when he doesnt expect that

I can guarantee you rojo vs Phillips will not be a squash match. Rojo is a lot better than people give him credit for. He’s going to be able to take and dish out punishment against Phillips. Idk if you’ve never seen him fight or what but he is going to make the fight competitive

Also I’m not really understanding how the card not being as valuable as the price makes it a bad card. It’s still a great card I don’t think price makes the fights uninteresting, most of the fights are probably going to be good, it’s just hard to get excited because there’s not a lot of name value (not for me, I’m looking forward to the card, I’m more speaking from an average viewers perspective). Hernandez vs moicano and mana vs Lawrence should also be exciting fights too.

Im also biased because I love watching fighters on the come up/fighters who aren’t on other peoples radars.

AND...STILL!

Literally don't see how Izzy loses this. I see alot of people saying this is a trap fight. I want people to know that people were saying the same thing when Vettori lost to Izzy back in 2018 and then went on a five fight winning streak and was saying how he changed and he improved. In Vettori's case I generally think 4 of those five bouts were a step down in comp (Jack Hermansson being the only valid win) and coming into the Izzy rematch people were putting their hard earned money on Vettori smh.

In Robert's case I think it's similar. Got beaten by Izzy and is now on a three bout winning streak. (Only valid win is Jared Cannonier & Darren Till ish). imo Kelvin is a step down from Jared & Till yet just because Robert took him down four or fives times he can do it to Izzy ? Izzy is too long, rangy & wide for the MWD it's going to be super hard for ANY middleweight to keep Izzy down and that's period.

Robert's best way to win is to do what he did in the last bout which he was having some success with but it inevitably got him TKOed. So please tell me how he wins ? I think he has a better chance at cripping Izzy with those kicks he likes to do to his opponents knees thus leading to a doctor's stoppage.

My reasoning for izzy winning is that I don’t really think Robert has improved since the fight. Not as a knock on him, but he just looks like he did before izzy fought him; just destroying everyone he fights. I think MW is in the same spot FW is in with volk. I think there’s just levels and it’s izzy then Whittaker then everyone else

Yeah it’s just hard to see how he beats izzy cuz his striking would have had to drastically improve in order to match Izzy’s skill and it just hasn’t

I’m kinda surprise at how many folks are picking Brunson to win -
Cannonier easily stuffed every takedown attempt Hermannson attempted, while also punishing him for it

Yeah I wrote a whole breakdown about that in the 270 thread. Brunson has a really bad chin too and had almost been ko’ed in his last two. Cannonier hits 10x harder than till and holland so I think he should dominate the striking exchanges. Plus cannonier is gonna be the first person who is gonna show resistance to Brunsons takedowns/actually has a legit tdd at MW. Everyone else he’s fought on his winstreak has either **** tdd or horrible getup game or both (not trying to hate on Brunson tho but it’s just a fact)

Ulberg free money !

Just got done taping Ulberg's & Cherant's past bout and I'm strongly leaning Ulberg. Cherant is a werid fighter as in he has this style of waiting alot aka a counter puncher but this style just doesn't work for him. Could we see a new and improved Cherant as his moved to Sanford MMA and has had a few training sessions at Fight Ready MMA, we'll see. As we all know Ulberg was working Kennedy before that comeback knock out, I see this more as a lesson for Ulberg to learn from. His going to have a second shot at UFC 271 in a bigger octagon (huge adv for him imo) and against a fighter who again imo is a step down from Kennedy in Cherant. Betting line will probably be Ulberg -200 to -250 imo. He should be favoured especially with those kickboxing bouts however, I reckon bettors will take a shot on Cherant as he has shown to have the better cardio and wrestling/grappling upside.

Ulberg via R1 TKO.

I think that’s a pretty accurate breakdown. I don’t think a camp change will help cherant that much; I just don’t think he’s ufc level at this point in his career. Ulberg looked good in his debut but just got caught. He’s probably gonna work cherant pretty easily as he is a huge LHW

I agree man. Even in that five round bout against Myron Dennis he looked a bit underwhelming. Also good point on the Carlos being a huge LHW that's 100% going to play a factor in this bout. Also my friend stated that Fabio Cherant is the LHW version of Jerome Rivera, literally couldn't stop laughing.
