Steven Colberts's Vax-scene skit is the most cringe thing I have ever seen.

I'm struggling to conjure up from  memory anything that even rivals it. I still haven't found my skin, it crawled off and fled into the woods. Truly a low point not just in entertainment terms but for western civilisation in general. I'm not sure what's worse; the fact that there are people in the world who thought this was a marketable item, or the possibility that those people might be right.

Thousands of years after our species has induced it's own virtual extinction via inevitable global nuclear conflict, and has rendered the surface of the earth and its oceans and seas inhospitable to anything other than ****roaches and a few species of algae persisting on around hydrothermal vents, if there are remnants  of man clinging on in mutated forms in subterranean bunkers somewhere, in one of them there will be a copy of the Colbert show episode in which this aired. And it will be stored in a hermetically sealed cube, and will be regarded by that people's anthropology department as the moment everything tilted irrevocably and finally towards annihilation.
