Bryan Battle

Predictions: 1 of 2 Winners, 0 Perfect, 50 Points   |   Tied for 3671st

Battle is an interesting fighter. He’s grossly underdeveloped in certain areas, but excels in the techniques he’s good at. He’s got poor bottom game, but solid takedown defense and great at scrambling to his feet. His pressure based striking has a lot of aggression, but very little defense. He’s poor at finishing on the feet, but his chokes are dangerously fast. While I do understand the favoritism for Gore, I think people are giving the fight to him for the wrong reasons: Because he had an easier time finishing Urbina. Fellas, that’s called “MMA Math”. It doesn’t work, never worked and is a dumb concept. Saying “this guy beat that guy so this guy beats that guy” is not math, it’s surface level logic. Bryan’s wit, chin and superior Jiu-Jitsu will put Gore out.

Hakeem Dawodu   vs.   Mike Trizano

Very interesting fight. I'm going to take Trizano. Better everywhere. Only advantage Hakeem has is power, but he's also got a terrible fight I.Q and has shown he can be chinny.Trizano might get a finish here, but he's a  bet for a win of some description.

Sam Alvey   vs.   Phil Hawes

Can't decide if Dana really hates Alvey or really likes him at this point TBH. Regardless, he shouldn't be in UFC anymore. He's scarcely bellator filler at this point. Hawes looks like going the same way but there's no way I'm picking against him here. This will be a Pyrrhic victory for Phil, sending him back into the win column and into the ring with someone who's going to send him straight back out of it.

How is it that a guy who's never been knocked out is chinny?

Bryan doesn't like to get hit and has horrible striking defence.

That won't work against someone like Gore who will walk him down and club him to the ground.

Plus his nick name deserves a KO which he will get in this fight.

I see a R1 KO for Gore.

Hermansson is my guy, but I don’t trust his weirdo clinch trips and drag downs to work against Strickland, who uses an underrated wrestling base as anti-wrestling. And on the feet… well Marvin Vettori outboxed Jack. Think it’s likely to be another 50-45 like the Strickland-Uriah Hall fight where the sheer volume and mean spirits just makes it kind of a bummer to watch by the end.

My problem with Hakeem Dawudu is that he alway go to split decsion in his wins beside his headkick of Horie. I think a few of his wins weren't split decsion as he clearly won 2 rounds, But it a worry that a judges alway see it the other way as all it take is 2 of them to think that way and he loses even if the majority of people think he wins

I might take a dog shot on Trinzano by decsion if the odds are good, Hoping for a robbory. As he could be due for it

Predictions: 8 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 540 Points   |   Tied for 1545th

Hermansson vs. Strickland
Sean Strickland, TKO, R5
Jack seems pretty chinny sometimes if he can’t get Strickland down he’ll be screwed, might be able to get some early takedowns but I see Strickland piecing him up as it goes late

Soriano vs. Maximov
Punahele Soriano, TKO, R1
Maximov will get pieced up and probably KO’d within 2, hopefully puna improved his gas tank somewhat just in case he doesn’t get rid of him early

Rakhmonov vs. Harris
Carlston Harris, SUB, R1
Harris gonna end the Rakhmonov hypetrain

Alvey vs. Hawes
Phil Hawes, DEC
Another alvey L maybe he catches a chinny hawes but doesn’t seem to have much power anymore tbh

Battle vs. Gore
Bryan Battle, SUB, R3
Gore seems pretty low output to me he’s got power but that’s all he relies on, battle has more tools to win imo

Erosa vs. Peterson
Julian Erosa, SUB, R3
Erosa sinks a late sub on Peterson

Johns vs. Castañeda
Miles Johns, DEC
John’s by dec, Castaneda might rock him once or twice

Dawodu vs. Trizano
Mike Trizano, DEC
Dawodu is good but a bit overhyped I’ll take the dog odds on trizano by dec

Barriault vs. Njokuani
Chidi Njokuani, TKO, R3
Barriault is good but chidi really impressed me I think he gets a late stoppage

Witt vs. Rowe
Philip Rowe, TKO, R2
Reach gonna be an issue, Witt might win a round with his wrestling but his chin will fail him again

Davis vs. Stoliarenko
Alexis Davis, DEC
Smoke break

Marques vs. Almeida
Jailton Almeida, TKO, R1
Almeida by whatever he wants

Gordon vs. Bondar
Denys Bondar, TKO, R2
Glass chin, TKO

When Tapology lists the numbers to the left of each fight - does it mean the order of the fight card is now official?

Hey guys after the Bellator card I really want to re-think my approach to betting.

Who on this card do you think has a poor gas tank. Hawes definitely and he has a dodgy chin. So does Marques.

Soriano?
Miles Johns?

Would be interested to hear your thoughts?

Rakhmonov vs. Harris
Carlston Harris, TKO, R1
I may face hell for this but I'm going with the upset. Carlston is an absolute sniper and I love the way he turns on his jab-straight. No doubting that Rakhmonov has a way higher ceiling but we've seen his striking defense get him hurt before, and with an active striker who poses a threat on the ground and imposes his presence, I could see him connecting with the perfect 1-2 and going in for the kill.
