I mean, you really can't hold the Curtis loss against Phil given that, in like the span of a month, Chris notched bigger wins than Sam has ever had.

I hear you on Hawes having a history of a choke artist, but Alvey himself has had a pretty horrible going dating back to 2018. He damn nearly lost to Villante, went to a SD with the corpse of Shad and, although it was an early stoppage, got dropped hard by an ancient little Nog. He also lost to Klidson Abreu who's been quite mediocre as well.

Don't forget that Sam has always struggled with pulling the trigger. Can Phil lose this? Of course, it's MMA, but this is damn near a lock for him. Sam has that Jessica Eye record heading into this, that's bad.

Sam Alvey might legitimately be the worst male fighter on contract. The only reason he's still in the UFC is his inherent desire to stop fighters from earning the money they deserve for getting brain damage for a living.

NFT's are basically how can we get our cult like followers to buy stuff with no actual value and make them feel important by "OWNING A MOMENT!"

Ufc are goofballs for trying to promote that garbage during the fights. you know this whole **** show is rigged when Moreno made 200k as champ.

Sam Alvey/Phil Hawes

Predictions: 8 of 13 Winners, 4 Perfect, 555 Points   |   Tied for 1311th

Question for you guys.

Who do you think the UFC wants to win in this match? I think there is a reason this fight has been put together.

Do you think the UFC wants to keep Alvey and give him a fight they think he can win because he is a company man and against fighter unions because he is either a selfish prick (I believe this) or a dumbass. Dont be fooled by his fake smile.

Or else do you think they want to promote Hawes as a prospect and give him an easy win?

Either way there is a reason they made this fight and matched these 2 up against each other.

It's obvious they want to build Hawes back up. It's why they gave him an absolute can in his second try on the Contender Series. The wins he's gotten since have largely been legit, but the UFC went out of their way to gift him a contract.

Alvey staying or going is of no consequence to them.

Alvey is definitely a company man. He never forgets to cup Dana's balls whole he slurps.

I think the whole "UFC is trying to build this guy up thing" is overblown sometimes.

The fact is Hawes has a really bad chin and when he faces someone who can crack him....they crack him. He keeps his hands low and his game is mainly power wrestling.

I wouldnt count Sam Alvey out here....he's kind of a dog backed into a corner.

He’s been a dog backed into a corner his losing streak will tie bj penns with a loss here. If he still had this ko power he wouldn’t have lost so many fights. Why weren’t people saying this stuff when he fought ryan Spann? Dude has a worse chin than hawes but I guarantee everyone was saying “oh he’s gonna kill alvey”. I agree with the other messages about them trying to give him a win. He lost a ton of momentum with the Curtis loss (hence why so many people think he will loss) so they’re giving him this fight. I wouldn’t bet on him tho because he’s probably gonna close at -300 or higher

Also hawes has been a guy under their radar since the beginning of his career; they had him on TUF and dwcs twice it’s pretty obvious they like the guy hence the slam dunk opponent here

I wouldn't mind all the ****, if when he does pull off a KO everybody who **** on him would at least own it. Instead it'll be the typical "That's MMA, anything can happen" 5 days after confidently telling you that he has no chance in the world

Honestly it would be ******* hilarious to see alvey, who hasn’t been able to win a fight in like three years, ko a guy who would have fought a top 15 dude if he beat Curtis.

Spann isn’t that good. The jung one I’ll give you but the Spann one shouldn’t have been spilt. Literally everyone had it for Spann

The blueprint to beating Spann  is to touch his glass chin or abuse his poor fight iq lol. I don’t think alvey invented that

Also if Spann was in any division besides LHW he probably wouldn’t be ranked. He’s ranked at LHW because there is very little depth to the divison

Yeah I agree, LHW is extremely shallow with talent. Same with HW. The divisions are top-heavy and wouldn't be **** if it weren't for a handful of fighters.
