Gane will win the first few rounds due to outside leg kicks and relatively low volume.
He will make Ngannou miss a lot in the striking, which will cause Ngannou to get tired in the latter half of the fight.
At this point, a late round TKO is very likely. However, I'm more inclined to think Gane will go the distance and win the decision.
We've seen him dance around much slower guys, like Lewis, with excellent footwork and a great sense of where he is in the cage. This could be absolutely different with Ngannou. The threat of power, perhaps even the threat of takedowns (which he won't be able to do, I don't think, given Gane and him are pretty equally sized), could be in Ngannous favor. Also, he's by far the strongest puncher Gane has ever faced, and one of the fastest. However, Gane's athleticism rivals Ngannou's in terms of speed and precision. He's very skilled, definitely the better striker, etc. I can see why this fight is such a 50/50 for a lot of fans. At the end of the day, I always take my chances with picking the clearly more technical guy, even if his opponent is as powerful as Ngannou.
"It only takes one," sure, but we've seen guys like Gane deal with power punchers before with their footwork, speed, fight IQ, and timing. I think that could be a really long night for Ngannou.
Ultimately, I hope the fight is good and competitive.
TLDR: Gane by decision.
