Alright folks,

As you might know I'm Tapology Boxing editor. I know the majority of you guys are here for MMA, so was I originally. But for the last year or 2 there is a little more interest in Boxing on the site.

So here's a place to talk boxing.

@Mikey1903

Clear dive. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, he might have simply lost balance while ducking but there's no way that's a KO.

Did he get back up to fight? He was never hit. If the fight ended it was clearly a dive. If he continues fighting, I'll go with off balance.

Yeah i was watching a russian kickboxing match and the guy got dqd for hitting floor too many times.
It was so bad he was point deducted before the full on dq hilarious.
Get payed to fight but duck dive or fall every time you take a step.
Probably some deep psychological explanation, short version should not be in ring.

Anyone know any good Chocolatito fights? Want to watch some good volume punchers in action and I remember hearing that Chocolatito especially lets his hands go.

Seriously though, Chocolatito is probably my favourite active fighter. His 2 fights with Juan Francisco Estrada are fantastic, especially the 2nd that happened earlier this year, I'm sure the full fight replay is on the DAZN YouTube channel.
Also Chocolatito vs Khal Yafai was awesome, especially since many people had written Chocolatito off before that fight, that's probably my favourite Chocolatito fight

Thanks Mikey, found all but the rematch with Estrada. Going to watch them over the next week, I've only heard good things about Chocolatito so I'm going in with high expectations.

You won't be disappointed. Chocolatito is 1 of the best offensive boxers of the 2000s. Beautiful combination puncher, lots of slips and rips. The Estrada 2 fight punch total was the highest ever I think, around 2500 punches thrown in total by both fighters!!

I only mentioned recent fights but Chocolatito has been in World Championship fights since 2009 or so, so there is a LOT to dive into! Honestly, he is a great boxer. Like I said he's a favourite of mine

Choco vs Estrada 2 was a great fight, the judges robbed choco but at least there’s a third fight in the works

I thought at first he could have been hit with his elbow as he came in and that did it, but on closer inspection definitely not.

Boxing Underdog pick

I started this off well last week. Pretty chuffed with a 6 to 1 underdog beating the defending big punching Champion!
Anyway not here to gloat, well a little!

Anyway, these weekend there's slim pickings with underdogs in boxing. I'm sure an underdog will win here or there but getting any odds on random cards is tough!
There's 1 big fight this weekend. Tonight on ESPN WBO Super Featherweight Champion Jamel Herring defends against Shakur Stevenson.  Stevenson is near 10 to 1 favourite!!! I do not agree with that at all!! Herring is anywhere from +600 to +900!!!  I think that's CRAZY!!!

Yeah I think Stevenson should be a favourite but much closer. Herring is defending his belt for the 4th time, he's a very good fighter! He has size and reach a great jab and a tasty counter uppercut that I think, if he throws it to the body, will play a part tonight.
OK Shakur is a super talented boxer, he's barely lost a round in his entire career, he's an Olympic Silver medalist, he's been anointed as anything from the next Mayweather to Pernell Whitaker!!! Seriously I have seen actual respected Boxing people say these things!!!! Hold up with that ****!! As with all young talent I am never fully convinced until they show me they can overcome adversity. Shakur has never had to do that, of course credit to him for not letting anyone put him in trouble, but it's gonna happen and I am counting on Jamel to be the guy to test him. At 7 to 1(tge price I got) I'm willing to take a chance.

Like I said Shakur should be a favourite but the price is way to big on Herring to not take a shot.  I see ways Jamel can win this so let's go!!!

The Next Best guy!!!

Jaron Boots Ennis!!!!  Get to know him now, he will be a P4P Superstar real soon.  Yeah I love Teofimo and Vergil Ortiz but this kid is a real joy to watch. I'm saying it now, he beats Spence and Bud won't stick around to face him, Boots vs Vergil Ortiz will be fun as hell! But Boots smokes him, smokes em all!!!
He fights on Saturday on Showtime. Here's his last fight, meant to be a step up vs a top 10 rated recent World Champion!! He absolutely schooled him and destroyed

Yes he is supremely talented, steady with the Roy Jones Jr talk tho!!! Haha Prime Jones Jr might just be the best boxer to ever live!!!!
There are definitely similarities tho, the switch hitting, the amazing head movement, the leaping left Hook!!!

That's what I mean. A physical freak with ridonkulous power/speed and yeah crazy leaping switch shots.  I agree BTW. Roy Jones doesn't seem to get the respect he deserves from younger Boxing fans, but I guess they weren't around to see him in his Prime and just don't understand what he did to people and how ridiculous he made them look. When he was on it truly looked like there was no point in anyone even turning up.

From beating Bernard Hopkins for the Middleweight Title in 1993 all the way up to beating John Ruiz for the Heavyweight Title in 2003 Jones was a Bad Mutha****a!!!!

Obviously I never seen Sugar Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Henry Armstrong in my lifetime. But Roy Jones Jr is the very best man I've ever seen seen box in my life!
