Catching up with this late, again sorry!
Yeah, when I seen a split decision for the Dominican future prospect (they love Mini Pacman in Santo Domingo!) I immediately went hmmmmm!???
Then I read a few comments and an article by Cliff Rold, head editor at Boxing Scene, yeah Saludar got done!!! What you gonna do about it? Nothing really, which sucks! Unfortunately that's the way it is.
Maybe the damn WBA order a rematch in the Philippines so Saludar can get the home judges??! Likely Saludar moves on as the new Dominican Republic World Champion, has a hometown squash match defence then builds to a fight vs 1 of the Freshmarts, Knockout CP or Petchmanee CP, kinda like Supermarket Sweep!!!
Another point, while speaking of absolute ******** in WBA sanctioned World Title fights (well this was an eliminator) over in Uzbekistan hot prospect Israil Madrimov faced French Cameroonian Michel Soro in a No. 1 Contender fight. Fight was close, going into the 8th or 9th, Madrimov finally catches and stuns Soro, he is in survival mode the bell to end the round rings. Madrimov smacks him with a 7 punch clean combo after the bell, the ref stands there watching, Soro is done. But he was clearly smashed 7 x after the bell!! We get a 10 minute meeting of the minds between several shouting WBA, Uzbek officials and a raging Soro team. What's the result?? Clearly its a no contest, maybe a DQ win for Soro??? Nah, obviously it's a KO win for Madrimov!!!!!
What. The. Actual. ****!!!!!
I'm refusing to enter the result as a protest and in the hope of an official review and change. Likely I'll be entering it as a KO win for Madrimov in a week or 2.
