Here's some stats from their last 5 (each) fights......
Vince 1 for 4 on takedowns, his opponents 6 for 12. Vince in control time for 1.78% of his fights, his opponents 6.79%. smolka 5 for 10 takedowns, his opponents 3 for 4. Smolka 33.68% control time, his opponents 6.49%
So very little of Vince's fights have involved wrestling, less than 10% overall and that's based on over a hour of fight time. What little there was, was 3 times more against him. Smolka on the other hand with a pretty significant 34% and only 7% against. That's a pretty big advantage over 2% for Vince. Smolka did give up 3 for 4 takedowns though, but they weren't able to keep him down for long with 7% control time for his opponents.
Then if we divide control time by total ground/clinch strikes...... (Control time counts clinch and ground)
You get 4% for smolka and 0.5% for Vince. Smolka's opponents get 1.1%, and 0.4% for Vince's. So that's 8 times as often smolka is landing. Vince also pretty on pace with his opponents while smolka quadruples his.
So if anyone will have success on the ground it'll be smolka.
