Something I noticed too is Curtis is really good at counter punching. I saw him get a ko in ikon off of counter punches. He’s got a great tdd too, so I think allen will struggle getting him down

No way that Smolka is still the favorite by the time fight night rolls around. Whack that he is favored here, or against anyone still in the UFC really.

That's how I see Knight winning, off a counter punch. Also , after watching the Drew/Brad fight , Brad lost 29-28. He was knocked down 2 and wobbled like 4 times. How he won is beyond me..he only won the 3rd round. But with that said , I'm way more comfortable leaning towards Fizaev.

Idk what that means bro. But I'm down for whatever. Only way Vince wins is decision but not possible when Smolka has way more routes to win, whether it be KO or submission. Vince hasn't finished a fight in like 4 years. He's been submitted twice , so I got Smolka by submission or a 1 sided decision.

from what ive seen, he loses when he cant dictate the pace of the fight. Vince would love to have a technical striking match so I dont see him putting the pressure on smolka.

I get the surface level assessment. But even in his UFC losses, morales is scoring knockdowns (except for Yadong). I mean striking wise he went toe to toe with Yadong on the numbers. So Smolka is winning via takedown since that’s where Morales kind of sucks, but look who is taking him down and how they have done in the UFC. Morales isn’t that good, and he’s looked like ass, but that’s because he’s fighting legit people. I just have seen Smolka sell out on takedowns against people with horrrible TD defense. So I have little confidence he can get or hold Morales down, which is the only way he wins.

I mean smolka has lost to Brandon Moreno, ray Borg, Matheus Nicolau, Casey kenney, and Matt schnell. those are all pretty good guys; all the flyweights hes lost too are ranked (except for Borg but he was a title challenger and is still a pretty good fighter). its not like hes losing to cupcakes

Lol Smolka has better stand up , he's more technical unlike Vince who will stand and bang and just lob hooks and punches. Smolka is way bigger and his Judo and Karate will allow him to set the pace, if he doesn't shoot early , and stands up. Vince will think it'll be like that the whole fight and Smolka will get that takedown.

so in all, hes lost to 3 ranked fighters, a very good bw fighter who's outside of top 15, the current flw champ, and two title challengers. thats a pretty good resume to lose too imo

You’re totally right. Smolka has been put through the ringer for sure, but his only WIN I rate at all is against Nguyen (at the time). I rate Drako, despite being cut now, over 90% of Smolkas wins.

fair enough. id say his win against su mudajeri is pretty good too considering hes ranked, but then again its all a matter of opinion. Still tho, looking at the 7 losses on his record, it would be shocking to me if he lost to Vince Morales

And Drako isn't even a notable opponent lol. He's crushed cans with the exception of Mana. Beating Drako gets you no cookies.
