@rukiddingme, Canelo is a free agent. Since leaving Golden Boy he done a deal with Eddie Hearn to box on DAZN vs Callum Smith and Billy Joe Saunders. Now he's over to the PBC to scoop up Plants IBF belt. He has no contract or obligation to continue boxing on any network.  Canelo is in that Mayweather territory where he is big enough to have the promoters, network and broadcasters do what's best for him not them!

Also, yeah the undercard is pretty ******!  That's what happens when Canelo gets over 20 million (I don't know what his purse is but it's safe to say it's a lot!) plus Plant is getting close to 10 million (again a guess, but Saunders got 8 million).
All that money on the main event means there is no money for the undercard

As a boxing casual I don't know much about Plant while Canelo's class is obvious. However i find myself rooting for sweethands based on him fighting for his late daughter. Hope he can get the win but doubtful

having a bit of a punt from australia, Plant is 6.50 on sportsbet and 8 on pointsbet (+700) on a straight win, draw is refunded. Mikey is it worth the bet?

Erm, if you've money to spare then go for it. There's always a chance!!!
But, unless Plant puts on the performance of a lifetime  and Canelo has a bad night then I would imagine Canelo wins this

Predictions: 5 of 8 Winners, 0 Perfect, 280 Points   |   Tied for 139th

Dirrell vs. Hernandez
Marcos Hernandez, TKO, R8
I guess people haven't watched Dirrell last couple of fights. He is only the Bookies favourite here because of past accomplishments. Hernandez is a rough, high paced puncher. The type of guys that are a nightmare for older boxers who've lost a step and are just waiting to be retired. Hernandez is worth a shot

Rodriguez vs. Romero
Juan Pablo Romero, DEC
Remember back in the Top Rank bubble when Elvis was sleeping fools every other month? Fun times!! He had 5 highlight reel KOs in a row, 1 loss and To Rank dump him!!! He was many peoples vote for Prospect of the Year! Crazy who 1 defeat in boxing affects a career so much. I always wonder how a guy deals with their 1st loss, especially a young puncher who gets out boxed. Sometimes they lose their confidence and the ability to finish opposition seems to disappear. Romero is a tough guy to face to try and get back on track against. Romero isn't a big puncher, he's got that Mexican high altitude cardio and throws a lot!!! He could outwork and outland Rodriguez. Actually, I think he will. Now, can he convince the damn judges????!!!

Vargas vs. Baez
Rey Vargas, TKO, R2
Vargas was the WBC Champion and was in line for unifications. He lost his belt due to inactivity. I think he is gonna want to make a statement here and show the division that he is back and means business. Baez has been KO'd 3x before so a 4th time shouldn't be too much of a problem for Vargas. Vargas was in the top 3 122lbers in the world, he's levels above Baez.

Predictions: 5 of 8 Winners, 3 Perfect, 365 Points   |   57th Place

Vargas vs. Baez
Rey Vargas, DEC
Vargas has KO's and Baez is a can crusher who has been stopped 3 times.. Vargas is on a 6 decision streak in his last 6 fights (all wins obviously) so i'm gunna ride with that. Baez has also never been stopped in a 10 round fight, to be fair he's actually 3-1 in fights that go the full 10.

Velazquez vs. Mendoza
Joselito Velazquez, DEC
Velazquez should win here, pretty comfortably... on the other hand, hes coming off a Majority Draw against a 5-2 boxer, so who the **** really knows. He's definitely a certified can crusher lol

Gomez vs. Meza
Jose Manuel Gomez, DEC
Meza is 7-6 but never been KO'd

Barthelemy vs. Vittori
Rances Barthelemy, TKO, R4
Vittori? lol

Salvatierra vs. Diaz
Fernando Diaz, DEC

Predictions: 5 of 8 Winners, 3 Perfect, 365 Points   |   57th Place

Álvarez vs. Plant
Caleb Plant, DEC
Heart over head pick here, been a fan of Caleb Plant since he fought Uzcategui in January of 2019. He's actually my 2nd favorite boxer (behind Lomachenko) and his story is ******* crazy, straight came from the mud. If i really was gunna make an educated pick here, i would pick Canelo by Decision most likely, or him by late finish. So excited for this, such a big fight feel! Also don't know how i feel about picking Plant by Decision, cuz GGG knows a little something about Canelo favoritism when it comes to the judges lol

Dirrell vs. Hernandez
Marcos Hernandez, DEC
Taking Marcos here.. the younger guy, way more fresh in fight years. Also, Dirrell hasn't looked good in his last 2 fights, those being a draw and a 9th round stoppage loss.

Rodriguez vs. Romero
Elvis Rodriguez, TKO, R5
Fight i'm most torn on right here.. Romero if you look @ their records, actually has fought the guys with better records.. Elvis is 11-1-1 with 10 KO's, so i envision a slobberknocker to break out, with Elvis stopping it in the 5th..

Quirky New Predictions

Predictions: 5 of 6 Winners, 1 Perfect, 275 Points   |   Tied for 144th

Barthelemy vs. Vittori
I take Rances Barthelemy at -4000. He has a noble mindset. Barthelemy should fight the previous pitfalls.

Gomez vs. Meza
I prefer Jose Manuel Gomez at -600. He has a casual lapel choke and a judicious bear hug. Gomez won't limit the humiliating defeat.

Vargas vs. Baez
I believe in Rey Vargas at -1600. He has a scintillating sleeper slam and a kempt diet. Vargas isn't about to manipulate the counteragent.

Dirrell vs. Hernandez
I fancy Anthony Dirrell at -300. He has a yellow-bellied mounted elbow drop and a fancy left hand. Dirrell could quiet the enemy.

Rodriguez vs. Romero
I am sticking with Elvis Rodriguez at -150. He has an exotic tai otoshi and a nutty hammerlock. Rodriguez is about to rattle the counteragent. So say we all!

Álvarez vs. Plant
I appoint Saul Álvarez at -1000. He has a macabre leaping clothesline. Álvarez must quiet the achievement.
