He was signed to Golden Boy a couple of years ago but the Corona shutdown killed all chances of him appearing on several US Shows.
I am still not ready to crown him the next big thing yet because he hasn't fought anybody he wasn't meant to KO in under a few rounds yet. Tonights no different. Teper was OK a few years ago, not above a European level and his biggest win, a KO over notoriously glass jawed David Price, was tainted by failing for a bunch of steroids!
So yeah, while Makhmudov looks the part he still needs to fight someone who has an actual chance of testing him
