I am going to be smart and pick Edwards here. He should be able to avoid early Jorge-like scares and keep him at bay with some teep kicks and jabs and mix in his clinch game to win a decision. But Masvidal can shock a lot of hardcore fans here. You saw Leon take his first hard shots on the chin in the Nate Diaz fight and it was nearly over. Don't put too much faith on Leon, even if past fights say different.
O'Malley vs. Paiva
Sean O'Malley, DEC
A good fight to book and a appropriate fight to test Sean O'Malley. I'll admit, this is the bare minimum in terms of possible decent ranked opponents Sean could be facing, but it'll do. Paiva has skills and heart that could really push Sean, like Sean was pushed against Kris Mountinho. Paiva isn't just a gritty punching bag like Kris however, his close fight against Kyler Phillips proved he is worthy of being here. But seeing how Paiva got outclassed in the first round by Phillips before Phillips gassed out, I can see Sean doing exactly what Kyler did in the first round, this time for 2. He wins a competitive yet clear 29-28 decision.
Neal vs. Ponzinibbio
Santiago Ponzinibbio, DEC
Great close fight on paper. But this doesn't make much sense. Neal has dropped 2 in a row in big matchups, why give him another big opportunity like this, and why not just give him a step down? Santiago just came back and beat Miguel Baeza, a tough opponent. This could be a good one though, and Santiago will probably win with his clean boxing techniques while Neal falls behind having moments here and there but not doing enough.

Masvidal 2rd KO : Let's not forget this is a 3 rd fight. Masvidal does best in 3. If it was a 5rd fight, that would be in Leon's favor. Edwards is the post complete fighter but Jorge is the better boxer, has the better defence and his takedown defence is very good too. Gamebred allways destroys his opponents in the first or second round. I think he'll defend Leon's takedowns, outstrike him and land the KO punch. Leon was almost koed by Nate and look what Jorge did to Nate!
