FergboyMMA bro did you watch Chito vs Aldo? He lost 2 rounds to 1. Idk how that translates to "can't beat". Aldo held Chito's back for dear life the entire 3rd round after Chito slipped throwing a kick if I'm not mistaken. You said "he can't beat Aldo", one of the greatest MMA fighters ever, someone who just fought for a bantamweight title in July 2020 and it's only August 2021. That's not too shabby if you ask me.
Chito is 28 years old. it's only 3 people in the top 10 under 30. Idk HOW that screams gatekeeper haha. Chito has some of the most important skills in the sport: willpower, cardio, and durability. He can make your favorite fighter wanna quit with pace and pressure. He's also one of the most violent in the game. I'm cool with you picking the 40 year hasbeen, but gatekeeper .... nah... Chito is a top 10 bantamweight, and I guess if he wins, he'll be a gatekeeper to the top 7? hahaha

Their first fight was perhaps my favourite fight I have watched live, I was mesmerised. I just think Usman has elevated his striking ability with Trevor Wittman. I see that sexy jab followed up by a straight getting that knockdown and Usman closing out the show soon after. Covington should look to mix things up this time, and get some more kicks going so Usman perhaps doesn't see the shots coming so easy.

I honestly think Namajunas is the more skilled fighter. I see her doing what she did to Joanna the second time, cruising in and out to the decision. I picked Rose in the first Zhang fight, and I'm confident she can get it done again.

Gaethje vs. Chandler

Holy ****. This is the most anticipated fight of the year for me. I don't anticipate the back-and-forth match others do though, I think Gaethje will clip that chin early and get things done quick. Charley Olives did it, I'm sure Gaethje can too.

I don't follow chick fighting at all, so I was shocked to see a rematch between Rose and Zhang has been scheduled. Why? Their first fight was one-sided, to say the least. What warranted a rematch?

No the weili match is happening because they want to tap into the Chinese market and who better with their biggest Chinese star at one of the biggest ppv events of the year. Also New York has the highest Chinese population in the US so they made that rematch for money reasons. Kinda sucks considering Esparza was the fught to make but rose v weili 2 was gonna happen eventually. Plus it’s a good fight anyways so I can’t really complain.

People really mad that Weili is getting a rematch lmao. There's been far more egregious and unnecessary rematches - recently. She was a champion and she lost quick. A quick loss doesn't *always* determine the better fighter, so a rematch makes sense. Let's all act like Weili didn't go into that fight with a 21-fight win streak, tho. Her resume speaks for itself. No disrespect to Esparza, but no one is paying to watch Carla Esparza fight for a title. She's not a hot commodity, she's not exciting, and people don't care about her. Does she deserve the fight? Absolutely, but that's just the facts in this situation. Whereas in Weili Zhang you have an exciting, dynamic striker who has one of the GOAT WMMA fights, and an entire country backing her. Seems like an obvious fight to make from the a business standpoint.

And I'm gonna be an idiot and pick Weili all over again. I think she's got a great style to grind Rose down. That last fight had to be one of the all time worst reads by Weili. She thought it was a legkick all the way til it hit her in the face.

It feels like we never got to see that fight. We still hardly know anything about how they match up. But when I envision them actually fighting, Weili has the advantage.
