My view on the big fights on this card is that they are a nightmare to pick.

I suppose you would have to go with Usman for the main event. He is bigger and way more powerful and most would have to predict something similar to the first fight. Plus his KO potential has increased exponentially due to his new coaching set up since last fighting Colby Covington. You can't discredit that Colby has also changed coaching teams since and is getting better coaching himself now also. Add to that I have to agree with some of the points Covington made about the first fight (ie the fake nut shot, eye poke to the other eye etc) which did genuinely turn the tide in Usman's favor for that fight.

The only way I see Covington winning it however would be by decision after exhausting Usman but Usman has improved and he could win a number of ways. I will pick Usman for this fight.

Rose v Zhang - Again could go either way. I'd like to see Rose win but her fights against Jessica Andrade show that she struggles with more stocky compact fighters, plus now Zhang is going to be on the lookout for all head kicks and early KO strikes. Would have to give the slight edge to Zhang.

Gaethje v Chandler - Once again could easily go either way. Chandler has big KO potential and Gaethje tends to get hit. Chandler could end it within a round but sure Gaethje will be ready for that early storm. I'm going to go for something like Gaethje gets rocked bad in the first round but switches it round in the second and lights Chandler up before KO'ing him to send the crowd nuts.

Quarantillo may be an interesting dog to bet on.

I know Burgos is a mad man, but he took insane punishment in his last to losses ( the Barboza KO was one of the scariest I've ever seen, and I don't even remember how many times Emmett knocked him down in their crazy war). He's tough as hell, but he gets hit A LOT.

So, Quarantillo doesn't have the KO power of Barboza or Emmett, but he's tough and durable, whith good cardio, relentless with his good boxing game, and the accumulation of punches could be a problem for Burgos late in the fight if he can't knock him out...

Predictions: 7 of 14 Winners, 2 Perfect, 450 Points   |   Tied for 3654th

Usman vs. Covington II
Colby Covington, DEC
Colby hurts Usman and almost finishes him in Rounds 3, does it again, Usman doesn't look like his usual Pacing Jabbing self. Colby wins a clear-cut 48-47 Uni for 2 Belt changes in the night.

Namajunas vs. Zhang II
Weili Zhang, DEC
Uni 48-47 gonna be one of the best fights of all time.

Edgar vs. Vera
Marlon Vera, DEC
Hate this pick, as I'm a huge Edgar fan but the sport is surely passing him. Marlon wins 1,2 for the Uni 29-28.

Burgos vs. Quarantillo
Billy Quarantillo, DEC
Uni 29-28

Gaethje vs. Chandler
Justin Gaethje, TKO, R2
I think if Justin lands clean, Chandler goes out cold. Hooks.

Michailidis vs. Pereira
Alex Pereira, TKO, R2
odd fight, A counter hook ends Andreas' night.

Iaquinta vs. Green
Bobby Green, DEC
Domination 30-26.

Hawes vs. Curtis
Phil Hawes, DEC
Split Dec. 30-27,29-28 then 28-29

Shahbazyan vs. Imavov
Edmen Shahbazyan, DEC
Split Dec. 29-28x2 28-29

Williams vs. Garry
Ian Garry, TKO, R1
Hype is real, Head Kick highlight reel KO.

Villante vs. Barnett
Gian Villante, DEC
I hope never to see this level of fight again in the UFC.

Jacoby vs. Allan
Dustin Jacoby, TKO, R3
Punches, Allan gasses late, doesn't fight back.

Baghdasaryan vs. Souza
Melsik Baghdasaryan, TKO, R1
Head Kick and Punches.

Vergara vs. Osbourne
C.J. Vergara, TKO, R2
Punches on the cage, Ref steps in.

I noticed that too about Usman on media day.  Everytime someone asked about Khamzat, he didn't give a direct answer and started talking about retirement

Edgar vs. Vera
Marlon Vera, DEC
I like Chito a lot in this, Edgar needs to wrestle to win this one but the longer the fight goes the more Chito gets better when he has his timing down, he walks you down, punishes you in the clinch and at boxing range and you can't afford to be underneath him too on the ground because he's relentless with his ground and pound and submission game. Edgar may have success early with the takedowns but I can't see him being able to neutralise Chito the entire fight

I haven't picked a card in a long time I feel like I'm confident in the main and co-main, the rest I just went **** it just bleed.

Believe Edmen will suffer again from the Rousey/Edmen curse. Why would you have Rousey as your manager and Edmen as your coach? Tell me how they improve him. I'm not confident in the pick, but Edmen is not the sniper we thought he was.

My Pick History: Kamaru Usman

Gonna take Gian over Beastboy. I know, I know. I still think this can go either way, but I feel better walking away picking Gian than Barnett. It's just.... The tape doesn't lie. Gian is the rightful favorite despite all the cons around him, including his retirement. Apologies. I hate switching things up late; It isn't good for my character. Enjoy the fights.

Namajunas vs. Zhang II
Rose Namajunas, DEC
A lot of different factors in this fight, the first one never really got going but what we saw was Rose using the footwork to stay on the outside and she'll do this again and I think successfully too. Zhang wants to make it a brawl, she will not win a pretty technical fight against Rose at all, so Zhang needs to get inside and use her power advantage. Rose has the speed, which will be key, I think Rose will use her fast jabs and straights to counter Zhang from trying to get on the inside. Very close fight though, Zhang can win a round or two but overall I think Rose will just do more here

I think it weird how the majority of people are picking Chito by decsion, I think If this is going 15, Frankie will win the decsion. But I have Chito by Ko at +430, I think Chito will finish him as Frankie Edgar has been Ko in 3 out of 6. Chito finishes most of his win, i think in his last 10 win, he finish all of them beside Davey Grant

I’m like 70% confendent on Chito by ko, 30% by Frankie by decison
