So Carla "only has split dec wins" but "Weili beat Joanna"... wasn't Weili vs Joanna a split dec? Notice how decisively he said "Weili beat Joanna" meanwhile that's one of the most split decisions of all split decisions in history. People aren't disrespecting Weili's ability.. the fact still remains, she got finished in 78 seconds. Esparza, the woman who "can't strike", has never gotten finished that fast in 11 years of fighting against 14 quality opponents. She won every fight asked of her, she should've gotten the shot next. It's unarguable. Rose herself said "Carla deserves the shot if she beat Xionan. I've figured out Weili, I want Carla next" in the post fight interview.
Covington didn't even get an immediate rematch vs Usman and he gave a fight of the year candidate and is one of the best self promoters in the sport. It's clearly UFC politics and nothing to do with Weili deserving the rematch.
