Tough fights to call tonight but I think arlovski, ladd, miller, and loopy will all get it done tonight.

Dumont vs. Ladd
Norma Dumont, DEC
With all the pull outs and health problems Ladd has had recently, I'm leaning towards Dumont. Especially because Ladd has had only a week to train.

Arlovski vs. Felipe
Andrei Arlovski, DEC
Felipe is a tough but winnable fight for Arlovski.

Im thinking to change my pick, because. Godinez is 121 lbs, While Carolina will be 130+. Most likely plus 10 pounds of advantage. 20cm reach advantage. As much as I believe in Godinez' skills, Im sceptical if she is capable of doing what she did week ago.

Predictions: 4 of 10 Winners, 1 Perfect, 240 Points   |   Tied for 2565th

Dumont vs. Ladd
Aspen Ladd, DEC
the spencer upset was certainly eye opening for me on dumont and i'm not sure how ladd's striking is gonna translate up at 145, but i think i do trust her pace and tenacity. tough call.

Arlovski vs. Felipe
Andrei Arlovski, DEC
was gonna say felipe finally has his "breakout" moment, but looking through andrei's recent record we see him continually set up to be a stepping stone against propects on multi-fight ko win streaks and minus aspinall he has made all of these guys freeze up. i'll say felipe doesn't commit enough to finish him either.

Miller vs. Gonzalez
Erick Gonzalez, DEC
so here's my other potential throwaway pick (gotta have some fun on a card where the closest fight's pick % is like 34/66). jim wins exclusively by first round sub the past 6 years but is 4-8, gonzalez survived rafa garcia, i'm kinda interested in +400 gonzalez decision.

Fiorot vs. Bueno Silva
Manon Fiorot, TKO, R2
this card is no fun, too many heavy favorites. i, like everyone else, think fiorot's hips should be good enough to keep the fight standing.

Klein vs. Landwehr
Ľudovít Klein, TKO, R2
the trizano loss surely takes some shine off klein, but there's no denying how sharp his striking is. couple that with nate's ko losses and easy to see why there's a lopsided pick %.

Sanchez vs. Silva
Bruno Silva, TKO, R2
sanchez has fixed some of his glass cannon tendencies, but i'm kinda still kinda hyped on silva because he finished shlemenko.

Roberts vs. Emeev
Ramazan Emeev, DEC
interesting that roberts has never lost a decision because we all know emeev's fights are pretty much guaranteed scorecards. so can danny keep ramazan off of him long enough to land something big? my/everyone else's thought is no.

Godinez vs. Carolina
Lupita Godinez, DEC
up in weight and quick turnaround, but general consensus is that loopy should be able to win this on the ground. question is can she effectively and consistently close the distance against someone who is a decent striker with an 8 inch reach advantage?

Davis vs. Batgerel
Danaa Batgerel, DEC
should be a fun one, but i'm expecting batgirl to be more dynamic and choose where the fight takes place.

Carnelossi vs. Nunes
Istela Nunes, DEC
i'm just gonna get an underdog pick out of the way here. carnelossi clearly has some power, but nunes has beaten decent competition for that side of the world so i don't feel like this should be as one-sided as picks/odds are showing.

Dumont vs. Ladd
Aspen Ladd, TKO, R4
This is hard for me to call, I think it being 5 rounds does favour Ladd more, Dumont does slow down a little bit the longer the fight goes. Ladd will have a hard time going for the takedowns but her forward pressure can definitely help her in this fight, Dumont hits hard and is a decent counter striker but if she's having to deal with Ladd's forward pressure for 2-3 rounds then she will slow down. Wouldn't be surprised if Dumont can just pick her apart on the feet but I don't know, I like Ladd rallies late in this fight and actually get the finish too against a gassed out Dumont

Emeev -255
Emeev  (20-4, 5-1 UFC)   Roberts (17-5, 6-4 UFC)
Emeev is in an interesting spot, as he is not a particularly exciting fighter. The Russian is a fairly standard but quite effective wall-and-stall stylist—an approach that earned him his first three wins in the UFC without much trouble.

Godinez - 250
Godinez (6-1, 1-1 UFC)   Carolina  (7-2, 2-1 UFC)
Lets go Loopy. Just a week after her first-round submission of Silvana Gomez Juarez, Godinez steps back into the Octagon up a weight class for a record-breaking turnaround. . Godinez is the obvious story here, but on the other side of the cage is Brazil’s Carolina, who is also looking to build on the best performance of her UFC career

Klein - 300 (14-4, 1-2 UFC)
Klein  (17-3, 1-1 UFC). Landwehr   (14-4, 1-2 UFC)
Nate Landwehr has proven a little chinny in his three-fight UFC run. He loves to attack recklessly and Klein’s counter striking is too good to ignore this prop.

Carnelossi (-155)
Carnelossi  (13-2, 1-1 UFC)    Nunes(6-1, 0-0 UFC)
The back injuries scare me a little bit, but Carnelossi’s physicality and pressure will give Istela plenty of problems. Nunes doesn’t have the knockout power to turn the tide.

This my matches (and parley) tonight. Good luck!!!

I didn't realize that Silva's wrestling was more ineffective than I thought when rewatching tape. I apologize. I think Manon can cruise if this stays standing.

Valiant New Predictions

Predictions: 5 of 9 Winners, 1 Perfect, 275 Points   |   Tied for 2292nd

Godinez vs. Carolina
I am sticking with Lupita Godinez at -225. She has a nasty takedown. Godinez will likely capture the cutman.

Roberts vs. Emeev
I choose Ramazan Emeev at -350. He has a xenophobic overhead chop. Emeev will likely clinch the rival.

Davis vs. Batgerel
I have got Danaa Batgerel at -165. He has a strong stutter step. Batgerel should highlight the achievement.

Sanchez vs. Silva
I am sniffing Bruno Silva at -155. He has a judicious overhand. Silva must kick the foe.

Carnelossi vs. Nunes
I want Ariane Carnelossi at -160. She has a hypersonic heart stomp. Carnelossi must mislead the unthinkable.

Klein vs. Landwehr
I select Ľudovít Klein at -400. He has a final omoplata and a yellow-bellied clavicle crusher. Klein should undermine the bandit.

Fiorot vs. Bueno Silva
I favor Manon Fiorot at -250. She has a youthful anaconda. Fiorot is about to assault the performance.

Miller vs. Gonzalez
I believe in Jim Miller at -225. He has a yummy right hand. Miller is gonna vaccinate the cake. Count on it!

Dumont vs. Ladd
I am going with Aspen Ladd at -135. She has a nerdy sleeper slam. Ladd is about to assist the enemy.

Has Mayra Bueno Silva ever fought a vicious striker like Manon Fiorot before?  None of her recent opponents have anywhere near the striking level of Fiorot.  I also haven't seen great takedown abilities by Mayra either so how is she going to react to getting hit with bombs by Manon?  Does she have a good chin?

I feel like this fight will end by TKO for Manon in the 1st.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 3 Perfect, 400 Points   |   Tied for 617th

Arlovski vs. Felipe
Andrei Arlovski, DEC
The fact that Felipe is a fighter who doesn't possess great KO power compared to Jairzinho or Aspinall will be a huge advantage for Arlovski. As has usually happened in the last few fights of "The Pitbull": Arlovski will probably start slow in the first round, but then get the advantage in connected strikes and damage done in the last 2 rounds.

Fiorot vs. Bueno Silva
Manon Fiorot, TKO, R3
Fiorot has shown to have great KO power for the category, good cardio and good Takedown Defense. Silva can be a potential threat with a submission, but she is a fighter who usually stays in the fight most of the time on feet and also struggles to get takedowns. I think that in the third round Fiorot can get the TKO because of her high volume of strikes.

Klein vs. Landwehr
Ľudovít Klein, TKO, R1
Landwehr is a fighter who uses a lot of pressure in his offense and on paper this can be difficult for Klein, but Klein is a fast fighter and has great command of head kicks. I imagine at the start of the fight Landwehr will try to get Klein into the cage with the pressure and volume of strikes, but from the way he usually carries his offensive one, Klein will probably catch him with a Head Kick or a flying knee

Sanchez vs. Silva
Bruno Silva, TKO, R3
It would be no surprise if Sanchez gets the win. But many times it has happened to him that he has been dominating or had an even fight and then finished in the third round, this happened against Anthony Smith, Ryan Janes (in that fight Sanchez was exhausted after the first round that he practically managed to dominate 10 -8) and more recently against Muradov. I think Sanchez will probably dominate the start of the fight with his wrestling, but in the third round Silva knocked him down to the canvas with a powerful punch and finished him with ground and pound.

Davis vs. Batgerel
Brandon Davis, SUB, R2
I think Brandon Davis can repeat his performance against Randy Costa: pass the early strong in the first round and get the fight to the ground and submission in the second round. Batgerel is a striker with great KO power, but in the past he was defeated by Heili Alateng when he managed to carry him and control him on the ground. I believe that 135 pounds is the ideal weight class for Davis and that having faced fighters like Costa, Kang, Zabit and Chikadze will allow him to face the big challenge that is Batgerel in the best way.
