Lets be fair half of the dudes who got high 60%-70% prediction rates, predict easy boxing matches on regional cards where it's a 30 y/o working at BK on the side who started boxing at 27 against a 25 y/o killer who's boxed since he was 5. Nobody who predicts strictly on mma is predicting past 67%-70%..

If i can't predict Overeem vs Rico V than people shouldn't be able to pad their prediction % on regional boxing cards...

@Crimson it's sad, really. Imagine how low your self-esteem has to be to spend hours scouring tapology cherry-picking squash matches on Boxing and MMA events, put on somewhere in the former Soviet Bloc and sponsored by a Russian cat food company or whatever. I can understand doing it to get to blackbelt because that gets you additional site privileges, but beyond that it makes no sense at all.

You know, I have to question the motivations of such people. What are they getting out of these grossly inflated and fraudulent records? Is it just the standard izombie dopamine hit? Or are they going to bars and regaling thrice-chinned piebeasts---spandexed and peroxided, who either have far too many teeth or far too few and who smell like cigarettes stubbed out in spilled Modello, with tales their Tapology prediction rates, in the hopes of getting a leg over in some horridly soiled demountable nailed off by the building inspector that reeks of sebum and antique pizza and is plastered in monster truck posters?

I dunno. The entire thing is bizarre. One for the sociology department.

@axa, i'll bet you cant maintain a 0% pick average. i'd say thats as impossible as maintaining a 100% average. there was a member called underdog man or something like that who picked nothing but big underdogs and his average was 15 or 20% or something like that.

Worst prediction man. He didn't even get near 12-20% IIRC. Pretty sure his average hovered around the 35-40% mark. It is statistically impossible to maintain a 0% average.

I will say you guys taught me over this last month or so that pick % really doesn’t mean that much because not all matchups are created equal. Many people pick the low level fights and I don’t criticize that because it takes knowledge to know guys with less recognition. Some matchups are unpickable but we still pick just to not leave points on the board. For me, It’s more about the confidence scale of the picks you make. If we were to rank our picks in order of confidence (the higher the confidence, the more points you get for that pick) that would be a better barometer. I’ve been invited to some wagering leagues and eliminators, they have made me better at picking and winning because I determine which picks I’m most comfortable/confident regardless of betting lines
