Erison Ortega has knocked people out and was against a person who is a very good wrestler not the same. Poor performance from dern but she’s not a bum. Just part of her rise. Now she needs to realise what her real problem is or always have this problem

People are literally saying she's a bum, PEACE. I wasn't making a hypothetical. People just like to be the first to "expose" what they perceive to be overrated. So much so, they jump the gun. And Ortega's "much improved striking" analysis came from one fight, the Zombie fight where Zombie was a statue. It vanished right back for the Volk fight. And if he and Holloway ran it back, I'm guessing that fight would look the same.

I don't think Dern is a bum. She's a pretty god-awful striker and her TD ability is bin juice. But she's easily the best female Juijitero in MMA. Marina was extremely lucky to get out of R2. And doing so really burned her cardio.

Just needs to drill the **** out of chain wrestling/transitions really. It's too late in the game for her to ever be a great striker.

She's got clear holes, but I also think she just lost to one of the only women in the division with such a specific striking advantage. Hopefully she'll keep adding to her game, but I also think she'll be able to come right back and continue beating almost everyone outside the top 4 or so. And with the submission game, she'll probably steal some wins that she shouldn't have along the way.

I gotta disagree. The Rosa & Jackson fight was average. Rosa landed 1 blow, the Hail Mary elbow that cut Jackson, Jackson held 70% of the time and hunted for subs 20% of the time.

Dern & Rodriguez had the best fight, not that it was an impressive fight, but it was the best on 10/9
