Mazo is a very talented striker and makes herself so long. I like how she doesn’t rush anything. She is tough, barely flinching after eating over 20 leg kicks by Kish. She also has the cardio for a three round fight. I also like how in the Dobson fight she kept going to the body with kicks and ground and pound. Finally when that big head kick lands it’s great.

Lupita Godinez, DEC
This might be a kickboxing match unless Godinez tries to take Gomez down to the ground. If they start standing I think Godinez power will be the difference.

Brown vs. Gooden
Randy Brown, TKO, R3
Brown better everywhere.

Romanov vs. Vanderaa
Alexander Romanov
Romanov via whenever he feel like taking Vanderaa down with whatever takedown he feels like using.

Rosa vs. Jackson
Damon Jackson, DEC
Everytime Rosa faces a good top player, the result is the same. I'd say Jackson is a good top player. Rosa is WAY too comfortable off his back.

Godinez vs. Juárez
Lupita Godinez, DEC
Feel like Godinez should win fairly easily but I'm not super confident in my read on Juarez.

Ontiveros vs. Garcia
Steve Garcia, TKO, R1
This is gonna be messy / sloppy as all hell lol. Wouldn't be surprised if Ontiveros found a flying knee or some****.

This might be dicey in some spots since Ontiveros has some flashy kicks and knees, but ultimately Garcia is a dog and Ontiveros will look for a way out. Late rd 1 TKO

Quick Rant about this card

Predictions: 7 of 9 Winners, 4 Perfect, 490 Points   |   Tied for 521st

I think this card is going to be real fun for most people while it being not my cup of tea, This fight should have finishes as the fights are mismatchs, a lot of these fights are prospect taking huge step down in composition. I hate this type of matchmaking as it doesn't show anything and it's boring as the win doesn't mean anything, I seen so many KO over the years, I don't care if it a Manufactured KO

Phil Hawes for example should fight a top 15 guy, Not Deron Winn, Expecting a full on destruction for up too 15 minutes , Probley the most clear example of this. Kyle Daukaus got Kevin Holland and Phil Hawes got Deron Winn, And Hawes beat Daukaus clearly. What is this matchmaking

Randy Brown, Alexander Romenov , Mateaus Nicolau and  Chris Guiterez are taking huge step down in compution after impressive win and big win streaks, I think they should fight people with ranking or names

Sabina Mazo was fighting Alexis Davis to be top propsect, Now she fight a crack ***** who got knock the **** out and owend  by 5-6 Shana Dobson, I'm more ok with this, Because Sabina is at least coming off loses, But I do think, She could be fighting someone a little better

Only fight that competive are the main event and  Rosa vs Jackson, I don't give 2 **** about Rosa vs Jackson at the same time, I hope i'm wrong as it be fun and I don't want **** fights,

I'm intrested do people fell the same way as me on manufactued KO and mismatchs

Crackhead strenght is underrated. She is 9-2 for a reason. If crack brought you to the ufc why stop now. Maybe she just needs to up the dosage a bit. And crack***** is someone who does tricks for crack. From what i can tell she is just a junkie no whoring involved.

Hawes vs. Winn
Phil Hawes, TKO, R2
I think Hawes puts on a good performance here, he defends the takedowns and out strikes Winn. He's a far better striker than Winn, might be a little worried because Hawes is a bit chinny but Hawes holds a lot of power himself. He can attack Winn's body and really just tire him out in this fight, I can see Hawes getting a finish in this one

Rodriguez vs. Dern
Mackenzie Dern, SUB, R1
How I'd line it: Dern very slight favourite (basically a pick em). Had Marina picked all week but her margin for error is just so miniscule. Dern's wrestling is horrendous but it's likely the round / fight if she gets on top. Rodriguez hasn't improved on her flaws since she joined the UFC so I'm not expecting any new, improved TDD on display. She obviously wins if it's stays on the fight / she's able to keep it standing. Also could absolutely catch Dern coming in with a big shot (as she did with Ribas) since Dern is VERY reckless on the feet. Dern hasn't fought anyone who is looking to counter her when she blitzes in, mostly they just cover up when she wings her haymakers. Marina will be looking to the straight right down the pipe and she cracks unlike a lot of other strawweights. Beats Dern up in the clinch as well, can see Dern just eating knee after knee in the clinch (where Dern is not great at all) and maybe even being discouraged from entering the clinch. Gotta go with Dern tho as she is improving in all facets of MMA every fight and she'll likely be able to walk through the shots and find herself in the clinch, where she can probably get at least 1 TD in 25 mins.

Elliott vs. Nicolau
Matheus Nicolau, DEC
How I'd line it: Nicolau -135 / +115. Hate predicting Tim Elliot fights, he'll probably make it close with his awkward, annoying style but Nicolau is just too nice on the feet. Think he takes it.

Agapova vs. Mazo
Sabina Mazo, DEC
How I'd line it: Mazo -125 / +110. Feel like Agapova will come out aggressive as she usually does and likely steals the first round (basically just on pure aggression). But then her pace starts to slow as she tries to keep up with the volume of Mazo. Mazo is just going to be spamming high kicks / body kicks due to the open stance dynamic, good chance she connects with a flush HK at some point.

Hawes vs. Winn
Phil Hawes, TKO, R1
How I'd line it: Hawes -345 / +260. Winn is a great wrestler but Hawes has some stellar TDD. Also not to mention he just so much bigger. No idea why Winn fights at 185. Wouldn't be surprised if Winn's get out-wrestled, Hawes has great timing on his blast double.

Gutierrez vs. Colares
Chris Gutierrez, TKO, R2
How I'd line it: Gutierrez -210 / +175. Corales is tough but I'm not sure he'll be able to grit his way through Gutierrez's leg kicks. He does have a path to victory though with constant pressure / forcing the clinch / potentially getting Gutierrez down (Corales' wrestling isn't great tho). It's a path to victory because Gutierrez isn't great of his back.

Romanov vs. Vanderaa
Alexander Romanov, DEC
Romanov has very good take down and vicious ground and pound. His power and strength are off the charts. However, I'm going to take a chance on Vanderaa because he is tough and has been through wars even in his short UFC career. Romanov won't be able to bully Vanderaa and Vanderaa won't back down after being hit. Another sleeper fight in a card full of them.

@DamienHandel420 I respectfully disagree. Hawes could have been given a higher ranked guy, but maybe that has to do with people ahead not wanting to fight him. Winn is a tough out for anyone. I think that Winn is out either way, so for Hawes I believe he is at the point of his career where he just wants octagon time in order to get to the next level. Also Holland was on a 2 fight losing streak and he'll fight anyone.

Jared Gooden is a really good fighter. Look at the guys he has lost too. Brown knows this if you listen to his interviews. I don't believe its a step down in competition, it might be a step down in notoriety.

Romenov first 2 UFC fights were very good match ups for him. Espino gave him a lot of trouble before the low blow.  So I think Romenov is getting the match up he deserves. Vanderaa will for sure test him, the line for this fight is way to big.

Elliott is ranked in the top 10, so not a bad match up.

Also, if any of the "underdogs" win in these fights that should springboard for them as well.

Agapova vs. Mazo
Sabina Mazo, TKO, R3
Mazo is a solid boxer, she throws volume and is good at using her reach. I think her volume is gonna be a factor, she can keep her pace up for 3 rounds too whilst Agapova slows down a lot after the 1st round, hopefully Agapova has improved her game whilst taking some time off so she can be less aggressive and pace herself better. Grappling is kinda close between the two but I think Agapova will get frustrated as the fight goes along. I actually see Mazo getting a finish late in this fight thanks to her constant volume and speed

Predictions: 5 of 9 Winners, 2 Perfect, 315 Points   |   Tied for 2486th

Rodriguez vs. Dern
Mackenzie Dern, SUB, R4
this is the hardest fight to call. whoever wins this fight is the one who's weakness gets exposed first. Rodriguez is a muay thai fighter and has a positive striking differential of +1.65. she has an okay 62% tdd but when she gets taken down she has problems getting up. for Dern, she is one of the best bjj practitioners among women and uses that to her strength. Her weakness isn't just her striking, but also her wrestling. she actually has a 10% takedown accuracy and when she does get people on the ground, its usually on her capitalizing on a mistake make by the opponent, not through a takedown. her striking is improving, as we saw against Virna but it is nowhere near marina's level. I think Dern is going to have a hard time with the stirking in this fight, but the second she gets in on the ground, its over for Rodriguez.

Brown vs. Gooden
Randy Brown, DEC
gooden is a striker with some really great power and he also has a solid ground game but his biggest problem is he is very hittable. Hes got a good chin but tends to rely on this toughness to get him through fights, resulting in him having a negative strike differential of -2.51 strikes; that's abysmal. you especially dont want to be hittable against randy brown, dude dropped cowboy Olivera int here last fight and also showed his ground game with a nasty one arm rnc in his last fight. I wouldn't be surprised if randy got a finish here but gooden is so damn tough I dont think randy can get him out of here.

Elliott vs. Nicolau
Tim Elliott, DEC
Elliott has a really ugly record and is fighting a dog in Nicolau but I think he gets it done here. Nicolau came back to the Ufc after getting cut and looked good, but I dont think he beat kape. Elliot has that journeyman record but fights much better than the record. He categorizes his style as awkward, throwing out unorthodox attacks while mixing in his wrestling background. Nicloau is a crafty blackbelt and Elliott does have a tendency to end up in a sub, but if he uses his wrestling carefully this shouldn't be a problem. Tim also has to watch his gas tank and not jus try to break Nicolau down like he did against Royval.

Agapova vs. Mazo
Sabina Mazo, DEC
I trust that mariya worked on things like her gas tank and mental health during this layoff but I still cant confidently bet in her after that Dobson fiasco. mazo is a solid fighter but got her ground game completely exposed against Alexis Davis. agapova has good wrestling but we will see how effective it is and weather or not she will gas going for a finish

Hawes vs. Winn
Phil Hawes, TKO, R2
This hasn't updated yet but Deron has pulled out and Hawes is fighting Chris Curtis. Chris is a solid fighter and has been grinding his ass off in regional promotions to get into the ufc and now hes got the opportunity. Im not picking him because this is such a tough fight for him especially on one days freaking notice. hes beaten some former Ufc guys and trains with Strickland but I think this is too tough of a challenge on a days notice against a guy who has been looking more improved every fight.

Gutierrez vs. Colares
Chris Gutierrez, TKO, R3
colares is very tough and hasn't been finished before. we saw him get pushed against his limits against Monte Jackson but I dont know if he will be able to weather the storm from Gutierrez. Gutierrez has great cardio from training at factory x and has some of the nastiest kicks in the division. Theres also a skill gap here as Felipe has a 2-2 Ufc record against worse competition where Gutierrez is 4-1-1 with his only loss coming to raoni barcelos. I think this is going to be similar to the Vince Morales fight were colares is going to absorb too much damage and eventually get tko'd

Romanov vs. Vanderaa
Alexander Romanov, SUB, R1
Theres just levels here. Vanderaa isn't terrible but doesn't have much experience against high level competition. the biggest thing going against him here is his tdd which is literally 0%. This is especially bad when u consider the wrestling caliber of Romanov. dude has literally suplexed and slammed heavyweights like its nothing and his sub game is also very impressive, picking up Ezekiel chokes, scarf holds, forearm chokes and even more. I think he gets this done in the first round very similarly to the spivak fight.

Rosa vs. Jackson
Charles Rosa, TKO, R2
Rosa is a solid middle of the pack fighter with solid striking, great bjj, and is very difficult to finish. One glaring hole in his game is his tdd, he is far too content to plays defensive Jiu Jitsu as we saw when he fought Bryce Mitchell or Darrick minner. The one plus of this is that he is damn near impossible to sub. Damon Jackson is also solid but if Mitchell or minner couldn't get rosa out of there, then I dont think Jackson will be able to do the same. Jackson is also a finisher so when he's not able to get rosa out of there in the first two rounds I think he will fade and make himself susceptible to a ko.

Godinez vs. Juárez
Silvana Gómez Juárez, DEC
Juarez was supposed to be on the contender series so we dont know her skill level, but, she has a serious age and experience advantage over loopy, which will carry her far. she also trains at a really good gym in entram and I think she is going to outpoint the greener fighter.

Ontiveros vs. Garcia
Steve Garcia, TKO, R1
ontiveros is not Ufc level. dude has been ko'ed 7 times (8 if you count his dq loss where he got stomped in the face and had to be carted off in a neck brace. Not only is he a can, but hes also made of glass. MVP broke his jaw, Kevin Holland broke his neck. My favorite fight of his is vs Nikolay veretennikov, where he got kneed in the clinch, walked away saying he was done, and then got knocked out on his feet before the fight was called off. Garcia isn't Ufc level but he is going to make ontiveros quit instantly.
