it's been said countless times, but what a sad state of affairs the heavyweight division is still in. MPC is a nice story, but this is beginning to feel Seth Mitchell-esque. He definitely has some pop in those hands, but he tries to employ that James Toney like shoulder-roll defense and he doesn't pull it off. He constantly leaves himself open for heavy shots and he barely moves his feet. Fortunately for him, he has only fought bums so far, even Journeyman Joey Abell was giving him heaps of trouble until Abell suffered a seperated shoulder and couldn't continue.
Looks like PBC is trying to build him up due to his background and feed him soft opponents so they can cash in before a real one puts him to sleep. Gerald Washington looked lost against Charles Martin over a year ago and that dude lost to Adam Kownacki. At 39, i can't imagine Washington has much motivation aside from another payday and rest assured that is all he's here for.

Am I the only one that think DeLoach can pull this off? I thought Kroll lost his last fight against Santamaria. MAYBE a Draw at BEST for Kroll. I'm not super impressed. DeLoach is very hittable but has decent power and throws lots of punches. Interesting fight.

Martin Mielnicki rematch was just cancelled! Martin was over 150lbs, fight was meant to be at 147lbs.
The 1st fight was at a catch weight above 147lbs and Mielnicki blames this for the loss so he's not accepted to face Martin. Fair enough I guess.
So now Mielnicki faces Noah Kidd and Martin faces Keeshwn Williams.
Williams and Kidd were meant to face each other on the prelims.
Plus DeLoach and Maliek Montgomery failed COVID tests so both their fights scrapped.
I need 4 sets of eyes to keep up with all these changes in boxing lately!!! 👀👀👀👀

Yeah mate, love to see it in Boxing because its SOOO rare!!!
Last night was a good night for upsets in boxing. This main event, Rice was brought in with less than a week to go and was around 10 to 1 underdog!!!! DAZNs main event also an upset, even better for me coz I bet it! Leigh Wood defeated Chinese World Champ Can Xu. I backed a KO upset at 6 to 1!!! Lovely
But , yeah, upsets in boxing make it more enjoyable for me. Wish these promoters would start putting on more competitive match ups so this would happen more often!
