Predictions: 2 of 5 Winners, 1 Perfect, 140 Points   |   Tied for 81st

Benn vs. Granados
Conor Benn, TKO, R5
Benn KO5

McCarthy vs. Billam-Smith
Tommy McCarthy, DEC
McCarthy by a hair. Maybe majority decision...unless he gets caught.

Xu vs. Wood
Can Xu, DEC
Xu decision. Wood has the first few rounds to land something big but if Xu gets warmed up to his 1,000+ punch pace then it's a long night for Wood.

Yildirim vs. Cullen
Avni Yildirim, TKO, R10
Yildirim by late stoppage. Feels weird even typing that.

Hatton vs. Laskowski
Campbell Hatton, DEC
Hatton decision.

Fowler vs. Mueller
Anthony Fowler, TKO, R7
Fowler too big. Mid round stoppage.

Predictions: 4 of 6 Winners, 1 Perfect, 255 Points   |   50th Place

Damn! Connor Benn failed a COVID test, main event cancelled!
To be honest the fight wasn't that great, expected Benn to win easily. Still, I wanted to see if he could get another KO.

Can Xu vs Leigh Wood is a better headliner for me if you go by competitiveness. Benn was gonna smash Granados. Leigh Wood actually has a chance vs Can.

Still losing main events 18 months into this ****!! When's it gonna stop??!?!?!

COME ON LEIGH!!!!! DO IT FOR BRITAIN!!!!!

Yildirim vs. Cullen
Avni Yildirim, DEC
Anvi Yildirim may have lost his last two fights but they were against Anthony Dirrell and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez so there's no shame in losing to either of those guys.

Hatton vs. Laskowski
Campbell Hatton, DEC
I've enjoyed following his progress so far and I'm hoping that Campbell Hatton can continue to develop and eventually grow into his dad's boots.

Fowler vs. Mueller
Anthony Fowler, DEC
I'm assuming the fight order hasn't been finalised yet as there is no way a fight as good as this should be at the bottom of the card.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 4 of 6 Winners, 1 Perfect, 255 Points   |   50th Place

Xu vs. Wood
Leigh Wood, TKO, R6
Man, I almost done a Terry, CMON LEIGH DO IT FOR BRITAIN!!!! Hahaha!! Guess I just did. I would love to see Leigh get the win here. Officially its the ******** WBA Regular belt, but Leo Santa Cruz hasn't defended his "Super" WBA belt in 3 years and has fought at different weights, anyway that's another story, FOOK THE WBA!. Basically Can Xu is the legitimate WBA champion for me. His main asset is volume. He throws over 1000 punches a fight. He hasn't fought in 2 years tho, does he return at that level? I think this is as good as it gets for Leighs chance to win a World Title! Especially after losing to Jazza ****ens last year, no shame Jazza fights for the IBF World Title next week. Leigh has grafted on the UK regional scene, won and lost Commonwealth and British titles. He's never really broke through, always an undercard fighter. But now he has an opportunity to become Nottinghams 1st World Champion since his hero Carl Froch! Leigh has power, I doubt he will outbox or outwork Can Xu, but if he can walk him onto a shot, particularly a left Hook, it could be perfect! Let's GO!!!

McCarthy vs. Billam-Smith
Tommy McCarthy, DEC
I don't think Tapology seen the odds for this 1!!? Billam Smith is a 3 to 1 favourite!!! Quick change your picks!!! Or do the Bookies have it wrong??? I actually do think that these odds should be much closer to evens. I honestly don't understand why Billam Smith is such a big favourite with Bookies??? Every expert, boxer, journalist I hear has the fight close. Mccarthy is the reigning, defending European and Commonwealth Champ. McCarthy has the much better amateur pedigree and nearly 2x professional experience. Going off their last performances McCarthy looked better than ever, Billam Smith looked pretty bad. Yeah I don't get these odds? I think it's because McCarthy was KO'd vs Riakphore and Billam Smith lost a kinda disputed split decision, also the Matty Askin loss he was put down 2x vs a non puncher. This is the match up, its the classic Boxer vs Puncher, the amateur pedigree vs the athlete. I think McCarthy can outbox and win a decision. But he has to stay switched on from bell to bell. Also a little additional spice!!! McCarthy specifically asked Carl Frampton to join his corner as "Waterboy". Why this matters is Billam Smiths trainier is Shane McGuigan. Frampton original coach, Frampton was as close as a adopted son to Barry McGuigan before a horrible, nasty split that involved a big court case and Frampton received millions in compensation!!! I don't know what difference that makes to the fight but it definitely adds some extra emotion!!!

Yildirim vs. Cullen
Avni Yildirim, TKO, R6
So Yildirim goes from facing Canelo in a stadium to facing Little Levers Meat Clever in Eddie's back garden!!!! And he's an underdog!!! I mean I've never been too impressed with Yildirim but Jack Cullens a big drop off in competition from Canelo, Dirrell and Eubank Jr. Granted he lost all those -(only lost to Dirrell coz a cut stopped the fight early which he was taking over, it was a split technical dec). But he's fought guys at Cullens level and beaten them all. Cullen is an exciting British level fighter, he challenged Felix Cash and was absolutely battered! Canelo maybe absolutely wrecked Yildirims fighting Spirit and Cullen finishes whatevers left? I'm not sure though. I guess this is a big opportunity for Cullen. This fight maybe means more too him. I say maybe because if Yildirim loses he's done, what more motivation does he need???

Hatton vs. Laskowski
Campbell Hatton, TKO, R2
Bringing in a guy who's been KO'd in his last 2 fights. This is an obvious attempt to get Hatton a KO for the highlight reel. Can't justify keep putting him on main cards without a highlight reel even if he is the son of a British Boxing legend,

Fowler vs. Mueller
Anthony Fowler, TKO, R4
Fowler is being lined up for an all Scouse clash vs Liam Beefy Smith at the Echo in October. The fact he's been lined up for a fight in 2 months tells you all you need to know about this 1!!! Plus Mueller is a last minute replacement, (a week). KO incoming, only question, how quick??? I say Fowler plays around a little but still gets it done in under 6.

Gifted New Predictions

Predictions: 5 of 6 Winners, 4 Perfect, 350 Points   |   6th Place

McCarthy vs. Billam-Smith
I elect Chris Billam-Smith at -350. He has an integral osoto gari. Billam-Smith shall terminate the masterpiece.

Yildirim vs. Cullen
I go for Jack Cullen at -200. He has an original reverse side kick. Cullen won't hasten the adversary.

Xu vs. Wood
I believe in Can Xu at -330. He has a twisted stamina and a passionate kimura. Xu will implement the dissentient.

Hatton vs. Laskowski
I select Campbell Hatton at -2000. He has a xerophthalmic right hand. Hatton ought to shatter the canvas.

Bavington vs. Ryan
I am with Sandy Ryan at -2500. She has a quintessential counter left. Ryan could terminate the Octagon.

Fowler vs. Mueller
I go for Anthony Fowler at -3000. He has a fabulous quivering palm death touch and a bonkers double leg flapjack. Fowler must ravage the victory. Fix und fertig!

In the Summer time, when the weather is fine, we can think along and subscribe to Dazn, because in the UK at ยฃ1.99 / month we got Eddie Hearn's & Matchroom Boxing's Fight Camp on our mind... Have a drink, let someone else drive and switch on to Dazn... Place to be for a Fight Camp, Summer of Fun...

Great write up's Mikey!! ๐Ÿ‘ Plus some excellent points concerning this particular Fight Card raised by others... ๐Ÿ‘ Really looking forward to Fight Camp, Matchroom Style, Year 2...Shame about Conor, but as one door closes, another one opens for Leigh Wood... Big opportunity to get in the mix at World Title level at Featherweight, but if Can Xu can find anywhere near his best, will Leigh be ultimately overwhelmed... Interesting Fight though ๐Ÿค” An hour to go and I am still undecided about the Co-Main and the Main Event... Giving it some thought ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸฅŠ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿง๐Ÿ‘

Decided ultimately that the Puncher who pushed Richard Riakporhe harder will be too powerful for the slow moving, tidy boxer, who is often hit flush on the chin... A couple of Knockdowns and a finish before the final bell, with Chris Billam Smith's journey, under the tutelage of Excellent Boxing Trainer, Shane McGuigan continuing towards World Contender level... I ultimately see Billam Smith's arm raised because he is a level above Tommy Mccarthy and at Cruiserweight, power counts in an almost even and evenly matched contest ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’ฏ๐ŸฅŠ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ‘

Hats off indeed to Bavington, who held firm and spoiled the work of debutant Sandie Ryan where necessary, but Sandie Ryan put in a composed and efficient performance over the 6 completed Rounds and won the fight comfortably, plus you can see Ryan does carry a little bit of power, especially when she plants her feet... Well Done Sandie Ryan, and Kirstie Bavington put in a very good opponent performance too ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿง๐Ÿค‘๐ŸฅŠ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ‘

The first fight on the Dazn Card this evening between Jack Cullen and Avni Yildrim is very interesting indeed... I think Jack stands a good chance of Winning if he can out hustle the smaller guy in Yildrim, but Cullen isn't the level of Chris Eubank Jr, Dirrell, or Canelo Alvarez and I just feel pre-fight that despite his natural height, reach and physical frame advantage over Yildrim, Yildrim's experience will count for something... So I am going Yildrim by a late finish, or a close points Verdict (hope there is no Robbery either way, if it goes to the Judges), but as a fellow Brit, I would really like Jack to Win... May the best Man on the night come away with the victory.... ๐Ÿค”๐ŸฅŠ๐Ÿ‘Š... But I am going Yildrim ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘
