odds are based not on how good a said fighter is but on where the money lies. therefore the overhyped wankers are getting bet on more so than brunson.

@adawg exactly. Most people don’t know this. Surprisingly even the commentators do not know this or at least they say the opposite on air. The point of the line is to split the public in half, from what I understand.

Yeah the oddsmakers first set the odds where they most feel like people will be willing to bet either side. Then the line moves up or down to try and keep it at a point where they'll bet both sides. It's not a measure of fighter quality.

I had such a strong hunch this fish chip eating muscle-less Englishman was going to lose but was just so afraid to be the guy picking Brunson and being wrong that I went with the public pick. Robert Whittaker vs Till round 2 = Brunson vs Till entire fight and I had that feeling. Brunson really broke that man. Made him quit! On a night where England wins each of its fights, the man the card was built around loses embarrassingly. I love this sport.

Aspinall did the fans proud, would've much rather see him fight Pavolich or Spivak on a full camp tho.

Paddy is in fact a bad man

So much respect to Erosa man. He's a great money stealer.

By that logic, why was Paddy only a slight favorite against a 1 - 2 UFC prospect with no big names under his belt? I was legitimately shocked how little odds Paddy had for being such a popular fighter. Vegas odds are ******* stupid and don’t make sense, not that I’m complaining, I love free money

On paper Paddy had no clear advantages. He showed us those hands tonight against possibly the perfect opponent to do so. Vegas likely had Paddy as a favorite PURELY off of his name IMO.

MattyViceGrip look forward to the challenge. And believe it or not, even the best of us on this site are hovering around 57%-59% in UFC. It's a really hard promotions to be 60+% bro

I only now realised you can check other peoples % and by promotion

To people saying shore vs assuncao I think assuncao is signed to bellator now and more power to him to cash in on his career realising he’s past his best

If aspinal wants to slowly climb the rankings a match against the Harris vs tuivasa winner looks fun and very favourable

Crazy how the only time till gets taken down and tries to actually sweep or get back up instead of sitting there is the time he gets mounted because the fence saved brunson who wasn’t in control of his base. Maybe they can finally stop with the title talk because it’s not warranted and he can fight someone like Uriah hall or Holland. I hate to think of how badly someone like a rockhold or a mousasi would beat him with their brutal ground and pound.

Pimblet got a nice win but I’m not sold on him. He will get starched as soon as he fights a good striker

Khalil  still looks like he only has 1 round in him but his opponent didn’t make him work. Also when Jones throws that same kick people call it dirty because it’s intentionally someone trying to win by hyperextending someone’s knee wish is something nobody should want to do to their opponent. It’s a shame he can’t go for more than 1 round because I do see potential and a bet against him after he wins a first round is always worth the risk.

Nice performance for Morono but I don’t see him ever threatening the top 15

Better than I've been doing lately. Missed my prop on Barriault. Add Bukauskas to the scrap heap, which now looks like this (Bolded names have already been removed from the UFC roster) :

Youssef Zalal

Laureano Staropoli

Walt Harris

Roque Martinez

Aleksei Oleinik

Yancy Medeiros

Justin Jaynes

Jerome Rivera

Jessica Eye

Jeremy Stephens

Marion Reneau

Sam Alvey

Ryan Benoit

Abdul Razak Alhassan

Guido Cannetti

Darren Stewart

Modestas Bukauskas

No, he landed one knockout kick to win his first fight after dropping three in a row coming back from a 2-year layoff. Let's not get on the hype train too quick.

Honestly, Bukauskas (whose name I have now somehow memorized) is now in an incredibly tough spot.

He's lost his last 3, and he's only had 4 fights in the UFC. The only guy he beat was really just a middleweight in Michailidis. But his main issue is now much bigger: his devastating injury. I don't know what exactly happened to his knee but I wouldn't expect him to fight again in the next 10 months.

I'm not writing him off yet, but every time we've seen a huge injury like this recently (think Santos and Kevin Lee), they always come back looking like dogsh**.

I would not be surprised if the UFC cut him, it's also a tough spot for the matchmakers now to eventually get him a fight that makes sense.
