It really is kind of crazy. The Rountree that fought Anders looked insanely skilled. I had high hopes for him... for that one single fight. Came out of nowhere and looked like a totally different fighter, and then that version of him was never seen again. Shame.

Rountree's performance against Anders was just a case of getting the perfect matchup to showcase his skills. Cutelaba's both more explosive than Eryk and has better takedowns, and Prachnio, despite being very mediocre, has a better understanding of the striking and a more varied arsenal of strikes.

Anders is decent everywhere, but doesn't stand out at any given thing and, being a late convert to MMA, was not prepared for the simple tweaks Khalil made in Thailand. You can even see it in how Eryk usually goes life-and-death with any opponent, from the likes of Machida and Santos to Theodorou.

I do think Khalil blasts Bukauskas though, Modestas is very hittable.

Aspinall vs. Spivak
Tom Aspinall, TKO, R1
Considering the streak he is on, Aspinall will find the right combo in the first for the knockdown or knock out. Either way he can finish it on the ground too.

Tom Aspinall being so quick and skilled, I just think of him as being an undersized heavyweight, because that's usually how that works, but then I remember he's six foot ****** five and is also bigger than most of the division.

Yeah it's actually scary how fast he is for the size and it all adds into his power , personally I think he would destroy Chris daukaus who is a fast heavyweight

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 2 of 9 Winners, 1 Perfect, 150 Points   |   Tied for 3169th

Shore vs. Sholinian
Jack Shore, SUB, R2
Sholinian will probably be a lot more opposition during the fight than we think, but Shore is set to be a future top 10 in the weight class and one of the UK figures in the UFC.

Jourdain vs. Erosa
Charles Jourdain, TKO, R1
Erosa fighting again after being brutally knocked out less than 90 days ago does not seem like a good decision on the part of the athletic commission. Jourdain seems to me that after his fight against Fili he has shown a great evolution with an ability to handle a greater volume of strikes and also the power to change strategies during the fight. I think it will be an exciting fight because of their fighting styles, but once Jourdain drops Erosa the fight is over.

Lungiambula vs. Barriault
Dalcha Lungiambula, DEC
Dalcha has legitimate credentials in Judo, but he also has the problem that despite being very effective with his punches, he sometimes looks frozen during fights and that can be dangerous against a fighter like Barriault. But I think Dalcha can control on the ground since despite Barriault he has an acceptable takedown defense, usually once on the ground his opponents have easily added control time and work with ground and pound.

Martinez vs. Rojo
Marcelo Rojo, TKO, R2
Despite losing Rojo had a solid debut where fighting in a higher weight class he won the first round and had a close second round against a puncher like Charles Jourdain. For styles of fights that I think is a convenient match-up for the Argentine: Martinez demonstrated against fighters like Andre Ewell and Thomas Almeida that his strategy is to take his opponents in volume of strikes, but Marcelo Rojo is a fighter with a great volume of strikes. strikes and good KO power. I think that as with Andre Soukhamthath and Davey Grant Rojo's KO power will be a big problem for Martinez who will be at a disadvantage if he enters the trade. My prediction is that Rojo can finish the fight in the first 2 rounds and do his first Raptor celebration in the UFC.

Yeah, I sorta think Daukaus is due for a humbling. He's been getting away with throwing sloppy arm punch combinations, without really setting his feet properly. I know he's got great grappling too, but I think a better boxer might eat him alive. Especially if it's a bigger stronger faster one like Aspinall.

I had to scroll up and see if Daukaus was fighting tonight reading these comments lol. Daukaus is good, be he’s too undersized to be as careless as he gets with his defense. Rozenstruik lights him up imo

I think Daukaus is at his right weight class tbh. I mean, he already introduced himself into the top 15, and there's barely any grapplers that could exploit the weight disparity on him. HW is a way easier division than LHW for someone like him, I think.

You guys remember Ledet going from undefeated HW to LHW fodder for prospects? Sometimes staying as an undersized yet fast striker is the better thing to do.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 5 of 9 Winners, 4 Perfect, 375 Points   |   Tied for 1068th

Brunson vs. Till
Darren Till, DEC
Battle of nutrition here, edging the younger more talented fighter. Thinking Till can grab at least 3 rounds keeping it on the feet.

Aspinall vs. Spivak
Tom Aspinall, TKO, R1
If you can't handle Walt Harris in the first minute of a fight, you are not lasting outside the 1st with Aspinall.

Zawada vs. Morono
Alex Morono, DEC
Morono is simply the best at making fights so ugly guys cannot hang on, funny how similar him and Turcios fighting style is even if they do train together.

Rountree vs. Bukauskas
Modestas Bukauskas, DEC
Really like Bukauskas I think they want to get him going on a run here, should be a hard fought battle though; Edging activity and cardio here.

Vendramini vs. Pimblett
Paddy Pimblett, SUB, R2
Paddy looked thin and ready to go on the MMA hour the other day. Vendramini is definitely live for the DEC, just like Pimblett's longevity in the sport.

Kim vs. McCann
Molly McCann, DEC
Should be a decent female fight, 50/50. Losing to Antonina Shevchenko just doesn't sit right with me. So gimme the dog in McCann.

Shore vs. Sholinian
Jack Shore, DEC
Luidvik just doesn't fight smart.

Jourdain vs. Erosa
Charles Jourdain, TKO, R3
Had Erosa last fight; and the fact he's going into another fight 2 months down the line after a ko, i don't like it..Jourdain will punish him, Erosa definitely could hit Jourdain with something calculated like he did against Landwehr to get the KO.

Lungiambula vs. Barriault
Dalcha Lungiambula, TKO, R2
Was going to go Barriault but film just told me no, Lungiambula isn't anything special either. Barriault got rocked against Azaitar, Lungiambula would put him out cold if he connects like that. 50/50

Martinez vs. Rojo
Marcelo Rojo, TKO, R1
Rojo's last loss being at 145 to a solid prospect in Jourdain is fine, other hand Martinez looked dry and pretty bad as i picked him to beat Grant.

Jourdain vs. Erosa
Charles Jourdain, TKO, R2
Jourdain should win, but Erosa is just tough and keeps walking forward so it's gonna be a very hard fight. Jourdain has a very significant speed advantage so if he can look for counter shots, his counter straight is very very good, I think he can land them all night and hurt Erosa eventually. This fight is just gonna be a banger for however long it lasts but I'm slightly picking Jourdain because I think he can catch Erosa and hurt him
