I guess those Guillotine chokes made him think twice about going to the ground with him. I mean he’s dropped him seventeen times, why take the risk?

Jackson has a lot of talent with little fight IQ imo. I thought he would have chances to finish this then get into grappling exchanges that lets his opponent recover. I’ve seen him hurt guys then go for takedowns before

Leaden. Montel Jackson impaired his mindset in this one.
Perfect, hammertime.

Jp scold get an easy win his next fight.dude is games as ****. I think fight Kris Montaño. And Montell Jackson should fight Sean O’Malley. Both guy need the step up and honestly o Malley will win that fight and that will give Sean a good win

@PEACE. Haha. You’re not wrong in that. On the other hand, showed a bit of grit or toughness from Buys. I think Montel should’ve finished that and probably underestimated Buys in a sense. Back in the day, I’d definitely cut him. Now a day, it’s so many events and more watered down. He might be better off elsewhere for some development. Could be one of those small guys where 10# between weight classes, the difference set him too small or too sucked out. I can see it either way, but I’d maybe give him another contender series level debutante. Can’t say you’re wrong for giving him The ax though.

Anyone seen much of Jenkins. I’d be willing to pick him over Rong if I knew more because Rongs record is extremely padded

Never been more annoyed to not cash a under 2.5. how the **** you get 4 knock downs and then just stand there.
Also awesome walk out song by Jenkins, not really fight related but it's a great song.

The last round was hard to watch in the sense that for much of the round Buys was on autopilot, I'm sure that tomorrow JP Buys won't remember what happened in those last 4 minutes, after the 3 knockdowns. Despite this, Buys showed great heart throughout the fight against an opponent who greatly surpassed him in height and reach. And since Jackson didn't risk much when he practically had the TKO due to Buys grappling, I'm sure Dana White won't have liked this attitude on the part of Jackson at all.

That win doesn't do anything for Jackson's career. He fought a midget who took the fight on short notice and moved up a weight class. The fact that he couldn't get a finish is embarrassing.
