Impressed by Giga. He handled a true test in Edson like a champ. It was a great performance by him and he fought like a guy who is much more experienced. Battle looked good, he can take a shot and he is very good at chokes. Andre Petroski never deserved this shot. They bring guys on a reality show and isolate them, make them fight their way to the UFC, they say you only get one shot, they make it such a huge deal you win this tournament then a guy who just lost gets a IMMEDIATE shot at the UFC. That just makes TUF look weak and the whole show loses value to me. But good for him, he did what he had to do. Terrible mic skills also.

Edson did win the second. Landed more and has chikadze backing up. I feel like that fight is a toss up any time they do it. The smaller cage definitely hurts barboza and he needs to stop accepting fights in them

Is Razak back? Or is just the type of fighter he is, first round destruction? And possibly those two decion losses really lit a fire in him?

in each battle, the UFC will have such a person who has every chance of winning, but he still has a contract for 3 fights and he will surely lose

People need to stop underestimating Giga. The dude is elite at striking compared to majority of MMA fighters, let alone UFC featherweights. He's a talented dude. He's not perfect, and he definitely struggles with a certain type of fighter/striker, but he is skilled enough to deal with the vast majority of this division. I think he'd struggle with a guy like Holloway just due to the constant pressure. Because Giga was having some trouble dealing with Barboza's pressure. But he was able to adjust and get it done - not sure he'd be able to do the same vs. a Max Holloway. I'd love to see it, though. Giga Chikadze vs. Korean Zombie is the fight I, personally, want to see.

Shout out to Giga, definitely answered a few questions last night. You can't fight Giga and let it be a comfortable kick boxing matchup. I thought Edson would know that and smother Giga's kicking range with pressure and pace and most importantly thought Edson would clinch at least a little. Instead, Edson just showed me lack of head movement is a curse that can never be overlooked. Shout out to Kings MMA and Raphael Cordeiro for helping Giga get better.
Max Holloway in a hypothetical matchup will have the pace and pressure that is needed to beat Giga but Max's history of having no defense for getting kicked will be a big problem. I'd lean Max because of cardio and durability but it's a tough call because of Max's short reach.

Sam Alvey is legitimately one of the worst fighters currently employed by the UFC. And that's saying something considering 65% of the roster is regional-level talent that probably wouldn't headline an LFA show. He sucks so bad. The fact he is still employed by the UFC and - according to Dana - will get ANOTHER shot is insane. They've let so much talent go, and yet they keep Sam Alvey. Obviously it's because he's a corporate boot-licker who actively speaks out against fighters forming unions. So Dana and the UFC love him, but still. Ridiculous.
