Going by last season. Fletcher, Murzakov and Brito get contracts. Don't think Altimarano gets it, but I would like to see him get a shot soon, probably as a late notice replacement. Plenty of them lately!

That's absolutely terrible scoring you can't give a guy a 10 when he throws 0 strikes and illegally ends the fight with an eye poke should be 10 9 lopes then 10 8 point deduction draw

Nah you don't give a guy a 10 for throwing 0 strikes and illegally ended a fight. The round should automatically go to the hurt fighter then they score the point deduction. You can't gift a guy a 10 for illegally using a strike to end a fight that's terrible

I think its great that the flyweights got in, both of them are good I think and could be interesting in the future. They're definitely much better than some of the lower flyweights already on the roster.

This is gonna be a repeat of last season where Dana just throws around contracts, which makes him cut Romero and Rivera. DWCS 4 and its consequences have been a disaster for MMA

The UFC has done a great job of putting fighters in pay brackets, thats why they have the successful business structure they do. Rivera and Romero were losing their shine to Promote for them and costing 6 figures to fight UP and comers, therefore it was a demotion of pay grade coming and rather than offer them that and humiliate them they part ways.... ALSO clearing spots for the contender series in season 1. It is a beautiful system you just need to ENJOY MMA and not just UFC. watch Romero this month and Rivera outside UFC when he gets booked. life isnt that hard.

@twjake saying it’s been a disaster for mma as a whole seems a little extreme. There’s always some fighters in the ufc who turn out to not be on a high enough level, and they get exposed fast.

Dana is just mass recruiting desperate low-wage talent and when something sticks he profits, and when it doesn't he is at least building up the person opposite that talent that he was already paying. The contender contract is garbage pay for sure, it's glorious for someone making like 2 and 2, or hell maybe even 5 and 5, on the regional scene but it's a lot less than what the rest of the >25 rank fighters are getting.
