I need to hear some Strickland-Hall takes. I really like Strickland and the run he's on. Not many guys are gonna be able to box with the pace he's setting. And he's got solid fundamentals everywhere else. But in my head, Uriah Hall is supposed to be elite. Like he's had a bit of a disappointing career, but at the top of the sport. Strickland kind of strikes me as an overachieving B-Tier type guy. Does an overachieving B-Tier guy beat an underachieving A-Tier guy? Is Hall A-Tier anymore? Was he ever?

Strickland -220 surprised me. Maybe favor him because how good he's looked lately. But -170 seems a little more accurate when Hall can drop a guy with one kick/punch.

Jones vs. Lawrence
Ronnie Lawrence, TKO, R3

Orion Cosce, TKO, R1
Let's hope he doesn't gas out like his brother did *Orion cosce is the selection

Benoit vs. Adashev
Ryan Benoit, TKO, R2

@Erison I think it comes down to mentality. Hall is one of the most physically gifted/ athletic guys ever in the UFC but he's his own worst enemy. I genuinely think he doesn't like to hurt people and he's afraid to use all of his power against certain guys (like Anderson Silva) because he wants to beat them technically but maybe not put them out cold. I think the fact that Strickland is kind of an ******* might actually make it easier for Uriah to hit him and not feel bad about it. Skill-wise Uriah is definitely an A-tier fighter, he's just too cautious sometimes. I'm leaning towards Uriah right now, I really like Strickland but I don't think he will be able to outbox Hall as easily as he did Allen.

Adashev's showing against Mudaerji makes me think he might be a live dog against someone as lackluster as Benoit. Power will be a concern, since Ryan does have that Hall like quality of pulling a rabbit out of his ass from time to time.

Yeah I think Strickland is gonna steal the first two or three rounds with volume, but when Hall starts really cranking shots and spin kicks and getting mean, I feel like he's on another level than Strickland? Sean Strickland fights in a kinda cliche squared up stance, flat on his feet. He's going to get cracked, at least a few times.

Anglin vs. Baghdasaryan
Collin Anglin, DEC
Both coming off of DWCS wins and both have got KO's on their resumes so this could be a great fight! Just leaning Collin Anglin as I feel he's fought higher level opponants than Melsik Baghdasaryan.

Benoit vs. Adashev
Ryan Benoit, DEC
This is the only pick in the card that I actually say I'm confident in.

Jones vs. Lawrence
Trevin Jones, TKO, R1
Trevin is one of my dark horses in this stacked bantamweight division, Lawrence is also good but I feel like Trevin is a lot more well rounded than Ronnie. I feel like Trevin will defend Lawrence’s takedowns and catch him early, Jones is super accurate and packs big power for 135.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 1 of 5 Winners, 0 Perfect, 50 Points   |   Tied for 3002nd

Hall vs. Strickland
Uriah Hall, TKO, R2
Sean has hands for days but he is very hittable and if Uriah uses his natural striking explosiveness he can and will win inside 2. If not, this will be a very close, decent decision Sean will win out of volume.

Abdurakhimov vs. Daukaus
Shamil Abdurakhimov, DEC
I’m probably brain dead for this. But even though I lean Chris to sledge him inside 2 minutes, I think Shamil can drag him into deep waters and dominate the later stages of this fight. Too much too soon.

Alvey vs. Kopylov
Roman Kopylov
I feel sick for this…

Barberena vs. Witt
Bryan Barberena, DEC
Bryan is a dog. He pushed Luque to his limits. Witt has little to offer him.

Montaño vs. Wu
Nicco Montaño
I feel obligated to pick Nicco because of her resume and superior skills but holy sh-t I could not care less.

Gruetzemacher vs. García
Rafa García, SUB, R1
Near lock. Rafa is a lot better everywhere. Including the boxing.

Chavez vs. Kamaka III
Danny Chavez, DEC
Danny didn’t have a great showing against Gordon. However, his sharpness on the feet is astonishingly more noticing than just about anything Kai has to offer. Both guys are top 20 level but Chavez is better.

Jones vs. Lawrence
Ronnie Lawrence, DEC
Jones is REALLY good but Ronnie is a dominant grappler.

Benoit vs. Adashev
Zarrukh Adashev
I already broke this down. It’s essentially whichever trash can smells better. I don’t know what will happen but I think Adashev has superior striking.

My picks suck so bad that I did horrible even without the judges robbing fighters last card lol

Predictions: 3 of 9 Winners, 2 Perfect, 200 Points   |   Tied for 1059th

Hall vs. Strickland
Uriah Hall, TKO, R4
I think Hall can win this. But this needs to be the Hall we had high expectations of that never got the chance to see.

Abdurakhimov vs. Daukaus
Chris Daukaus, TKO, R2
Daukus ITD. Don't want to choose rounds if I were to bet. But as a prediction only I'd say round 2.

de Paula vs. Buys
Gloria de Paula
I'm taking de paula as a pick. NO tape study . so this is subject to change. Admitting I'm bias as **** because Buys just got ******* schoolyard bullied for 3 rounds and had no answer for it. Even AFTER saying all her opponent had was a dumbass bulldog choke or headlock i can't remember.

@ 7:57.

edit headlock

lol

vs. Yahya
Kyung Ho Kang, TKO, R2
fight doesn't go to decision!

Alvey vs. Kopylov
Roman Kopylov, TKO, R1
Parlaying ITD prop so far with Daukus.. I think he's going to come out fast and look for a KO or easily grab a GnP victory.

Cosce vs. Rowe
Orion Cosce, TKO, R2
GIMME ITD PARLAYED AS WELL. I can see rowe making improvements but as far as his performance vs green i can't ever pick or lay money on him.
