Predictions: 2 of 9 Winners, 1 Perfect, 140 Points   |   Tied for 2070th

Just read the last 8 pages of this thread…and man I didn’t know what I was walking into….

On another note this card is still poop….

Not sure what to do with my DK cash game lineup, Is there value in doubling up the main fight?

Gonna make the best of it with Bellator on the tv and stream this UFC crapshow on my tablet, while sitting in the hottub with my soulmate….jk jk on the last part.

Parlays it is

Predictions: 1 of 10 Winners, 1 Perfect, 75 Points   |   Tied for 2897th

Anglin
Chavez
de Paula
Witt by decision

and

Yoder, sub/dec
Orion, KO/dec
Rafa Garcia inside the distance

Hit on Paiva by decision last week if anyone's wondering how I have the balls to go Witt by decision. Chavez and Anglin fights will be close but I feel solid about the rest.

@ghostanddarkness  DK cash games seem pretty straight forward and easy today. With Stolze and Gooden both being priced as big under dogs and someone has to win. just play both of them in your cash line. If you play Stolze Gooden Yahya you can play Barberena Garcia Strickland.

This isn't the week to stack the Main event. Hall is too low volume, and there won't be much or any grappling.

The Krause connection is the thing that scares me. He's the type of coach to be really harsh and realistic with Witt about what's going to happen if he trades punches with Barberena. And he's definitely scouted how many times Barberena's been taken down.

One of my bets last week was Maverick-Phillips-Sandhagen, lol, depending on who you ask that's going 3 for 3 in terms of robberies.

I went Paiva by decision after Maverick lose. I had Maverick by decision as the last leg in a 4 leg parlay. I literally won all the money I would have on that parlay by going big on Paiva by decision.

I then lost 90% of my winnings still going Sandhagen because I refused to believe that the ******y would carry into the main event. In reality it didnt; Sandhagen genuinely lost IMO.

I literally live bet Dillashaw after the 3rd round because I said to myself "I'm getting ****** again here". Glad I did. BARELY came up on the evening.

Yeah I've learned to not bet against James Krause. Either bet on his fighter or skip that fight. I've lost count of the number of times a fighter has been down a round or 2 only for Krause to coach them to a win with very specific (and blunt) instructions in between rounds.

yeah as much as I respect Krause, and don't get me wrong the guy is a miracle worker, Jason Witt only needs to cop one punch and he is done. Unless Krause can get him a new chin he is going to get smashed by a motivated Barberina. The dude will not stay on the ground for long.

Smaller bet: Garcia

Kinda wish I would have switched them and bet big on Garcia instead, but I already committed, so is = is.

That first parlay would have me shaking lol, I thought the same thing when I picked Witt in his last fight. "He's a Glory MMA guy, solid wrestler, maybe he'll go in with a smart gameplan and not take damage". Not the case lol, he seems to think he's cured his bad chin by getting more sleep/ reducing his stress at work. Maybe it is stronger now, but I wouldn't wanna test it out if I was Witt.

Barberena coming off near death internal injury too so really I think anything could happen. wouldn't really shock me if barberena came out and looked like Ponzinibbio did in his return. that alone is scary enough for me to leave this fight alone bet wise

I’m still 99% sure Barberena is just gonna KO him with some early flurries and it’s not complicated at all. But, until then I’m absolutely gonna overthink all the angles.

For the exact same odds basically you can throw Porto from Bellator in your parlay instead and to me feels much safer

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 2 of 10 Winners, 1 Perfect, 125 Points   |   Tied for 2105th

Hall vs. Strickland
Uriah Hall, DEC
omitting the top 2 fights, this looks like a bellator/pfl card, possibly one of the worst cards in ufc history on paper. as far as this fight goes, i think strickland pushes the action but is ultimately too eager and runs into shots.

Kang vs. Yahya
Rani Yahya, SUB, R2
i'll probably see rani get blasted and regret this pick, but it's possible that kang is over-willing to grapple.

de Paula vs. Buys
Cheyanne Buys, DEC
someone explain to me how losing to frey gets you placed on the main card while jinh gets prelims, it's clearly trying to hype up buys. hopefully she knows it's an mma fight this time and is prepared to wrestle.

Stolze vs. Gooden
Niklas Stolze, DEC
not much to go off, but gooden hasn't won a decision in his past 8 fights so i'll say stolze can take it to the scorecards.

Barberena vs. Witt
Bryan Barberena, TKO, R2
witt is gonna need to wrestle and barberena isn't too bad there, i think he ends up on top with gnp.

Anglin vs. Baghdasaryan
Collin Anglin, DEC
anglin doesn't fight out of glendale, that's my rationale for this fight because there's nothing else to go off.

Gruetzemacher vs. García
Rafa García, SUB, R2
guess i'm kinda doubting gritz at this stage after the layoffs and ko loss, not that i have much faith in rafa, just seems more in his prime.

Chavez vs. Kamaka III
Danny Chavez, DEC
kamaka fights are almost guaranteed decisions and chavez has been there plenty before.

Yoder vs. Yu Frey
Ashley Yoder, DEC
frey gives up too many takedowns and is significantly smaller than yoder.

Benoit vs. Adashev
Zarrukh Adashev, DEC
i'll take a chance here, benoit has been inconsistent and adashev's striking should be on a similar level i think?

Cosce vs. Rowe
Orion Cosce, TKO, R2
cosce seems to have had better competition and has the ko power to end the fight given the chance.

That witt by dec is definitely ballsy but listening to his media day interview (and people say a lot of BS in those but you gotta pick out the factual stuff) that he got in with the UFC pi and was testing incredibly high for his stress levels, said he was burning the candle at both ends waking up at 4am working at the gym he owns and then travelling for training etc etc, so he hired people to teach his classes and just focused on himself and his camp. I suggest listening to it. And I'm still predicting a brian KO but it's keeping me from betting it, we very well might see a new Witt here.
