Next for Marvin Vettori (#3)?

Vettori earned the #3 position in the Middleweight division with his victory over Kevin Holland (#12) Saturday. The only fighters ahead of him are, Whittaker (#1) and Costa (#2).
WHO WILL MARVIN FIGHT NEXT?
1. Adesanya (C) - Most people think Adesanya should fight Whittaker next. But a minority believe Vettori did enough to earn his title shot after defeating Holland. I would be happy with Vettori versus Adesanya but, like the majority, believe Whittaker has a better chance at dethroning the king. Unless Whittaker loses to Gastelum (#8), we will not see this fight. If Whittaker loses to Gastelum, we probably will get Vettori vs Adesanya.
2. Costa (#2) - I like this fight. If Whittaker wins, he will get the title shot. Vettori could sit out, and maybe he will, but If he wants to stay active, a fight with Costa could happen August/September. #2 vs #3. A top fight to make that could co-main any PPV.
3. Whittaker (#1) - If Whittaker wins this Saturday he will be fighting Adesanya next. If Whittaker loses, he may be positioned for a fight versus Vettori. This could be the fight made if Whittaker loses versus Gastelum. Whittaker versus Vettori if Whittaker loses to Gastelum.

Costa or Cannonier. I like any fight between that triangle to decide who fights the champ next after Whittaker if he beats Gastelum.

Maxis, but since Vettori is on a win-streak does it make sense for him to fight Cannonier who is behind him and coming from a loss?
For me, Vettori can only fight up in the rankings right now. He looks dangerous and its his time. Cannonier would be a backwards step.
Cannonier will have plenty of good options when he comes back. Costa is one of them...Brunson, Till, and down the line....Cannonier can be matched with anyone because his style is viewer friendly - plodding forward, and looking to land bombs.
Vettori vs Costa is really fun, and the perfect fight to set up Vettori's shot at the champion. Vettori defeats Costa but its still interesting to see.
