I'm seriously impressed that Yamato Nishikawa is only 18 but already has 21 pro fights under his belt!

@thebluedash

Plus, his first fight was in 2016 so he'd have made his pro debut at about 14!

He was certainly thrown in the deep end and to be fair to him, he's handled it very well so far!

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 4 of 11 Winners, 3 Perfect, 325 Points   |   51st Place

Osawa vs. Nishikawa
Nobumitsu Osawa, DEC
I'm picking experience over youth here

Uno vs. Naito
Caol Uno, SUB, R1
Wow, amazing that Uno is still fighting, looking back at his record he's faced Genki Sudo, Din Thomas (twice), BJ Penn (twice), Shinya Aoki, Jens Pulver, Takanori Gomi, Yves Edwards and Hermes Franca!

Shimizu vs. Uda
Kiyotaka Shimizu, DEC
Uda has a great chance and I can see why people are picking him but I think Shimizu can still turn back these young guns

Sugimoto vs. Hiyama
Megumi Sugimoto, SUB, R1
A Japanese can who hasn't faced Gabi Garcia?

Yamato Nishikawa is a super legit prospect and one to watch at only 18-years-old. He's super solid, very well-rounded, and he could be well on his way to stardom in Japan. Wouldn't be surprised. His biggest win before this was probably Takekawa, but this Osawa win really solidifies him as one to watch imo. The only person recently who was able to take out Osawa was Tofiq Musaev, and that was the start of an exceptional run for him.

I really enjoy watching Taison Naito fight. Dude has that kill or be killed mentality and I respect it, but **** is it ever a bummer to see Caol Uno get put out like that. He'll always be savvy on the mat, but his chin is gone and it's been gone for a bit at this point. Was a beautiful shot from Naito to end it, but hopefully Uno seriously considers a long overdue retirement.

Yuto Uda is another guy worth watching. A prospect who put together a pretty solid performance to beat a former King of Pancrase in Shimizu. That's nothing to scoff at. We could see big things out of him!
