Sean O'Malley, TKO, R1
It is the return of Sean '' Michael Venom Page '' O'Malley, Smolka had a decent run in the flyweight until he was hit by Brandon Moreno (that was the debut of the current title challenger in his step that ended 3-2 before to return in 2019). After that loss Smolka had a 0-4 flyweight streak and added to his current pace in the UFC he has an "impressive" 3-6 record in his last 9 fights in the UFC. Smolka is not even a Top 25 in the category since at bantamweight he has no height or reach advantage. The funny thing is that with Nathaniel Wood, Tony Graverly, Merab Dvalalishvili, Dominick Cruz, Pedro Munhoz available to fight Sean O'Malley was scheduled to fight "the fearsome" Louis Smolka who was a loss from being cut from the UFC. Regarding my prediction I am sure that Sean O'Malley will have no problem knocking out Smolka in the first half of the first round, a Smolka who was knocked down 3 times in the first round by a Matheus Nicolau that despite having good striking It is not characterized by its KO power.

I'll preface this by saying Dustin is definitely the value side here @+105. But he's in no way free money, and this is basically a pickem..but I lean Connor.
The thing is, Conor Mcgregor was winning that fight until Dustin adapted and started hammering that low kick. It was, absolutely, 100% Conor's destroyed leg that led him to losing that fight, and had it not happened, I am very sure he would have won by KO/TKO. Watch the first round. Conor was landing better and harder, was dominating the clinch, and his signature left was breaking Dustin's guard. He did have Poirier hurt. I have watched this many times over thus far, and I'm very confident in this analysis.
Round 1 is how that fight plays out when Conor's lead leg isn't wrecked. Can Dustin pull the same trick twice? I doubt it. Say what you want about Conor, but Kavanaugh is a very high quality coach. He'll have a contingency plan moving forward. Surely.
I'm going take Mcgregor in this one--and hate doing it, because I hate him with a passion. If he does win he'll get literally any fight he wants, again, not having earned it. Never wanted Dustin to win more. And he does have a solid shot of doing it. But my spidey sense is telling me that doesn't happen, sadly.
Mcgregor, KO/TKO R2.

Dustin Poirier, SUB, R4
Difficult fight to predict, but I just think after watching that second fight, that Dustin is a better game planner. And Conor will come into this third fight expecting to have a brawl. He will swing, and Dustin will go after those legs. Dustin will have a competitive fight with McGregor before tapping him out with a guillotine in the 4th.
Burns vs. Thompson
Stephen Thompson, DEC
Thompson will touch Burns up. Burns is not a very good striker. Yes, he can throw good strikes, but when you get pieced up by Usman like that, you are not outstriking Wonderboy Thompson. No freaking way. I see Stephen having a field day out there stuffing takedowns, and letting his hands and feet fly. Possible finish.
O'Malley vs. Smolka
Sean O'Malley, TKO, R1
The UFC is feeding Sean these opponents. Wow. Why Louis Smolka? I get theyâre trying to build him up because of what happened the last time he was given a big name in Chito Vera, but this is a step too far back. Especially after dismantling Thomas Almedia. Itâs almost like the Thomas fight never happened. Disappointed in the UFC, but Sean will continue his streak.
Hall vs. Topuria
Ilia Topuria, DEC
Glad to see Hall back in action but this is not a good opponent for him stylistically. Ilia has the ability to stuff Ryanâs wild scrambles and takedown attempts. And if he does, he will piece Ryan up on the feet and land some very crisp body shots en route to a decision win.
Maia vs. Eye
Jennifer Maia, SUB, R1
Jessica has done nothing to deserve a fight with a girl coming off a title loss. Absolutely nothing. I believe sheâs lost 2-3 in a row now? Yikes. Boxing wise this seems to be even, but Maia has a huge edge in jiu jitsu and that will get her the win.
Tuivasa vs. Hardy
Tai Tuivasa, TKO, R1
This is one of the closest fights Iâve seen on paper. Greg is more technical and has a better jab, but Tuivasa is faster and seems to have a bit more power in his hands. They both have bad cardio. This could either be Tuivasa and Hardy trading until someone gets clipped and KOd, or it could look like a slow decision win for Greg Hardy. Iâm leaning the first option, but I wouldnât be surprised to see some angry people afterwards.
Aldana vs. Kunitskaya
Yana Kunitskaya, DEC
This truly has the potential to be a barnburner. Irene swings hooks like a wild man, and Yana is busy throwing the whole time no matter if sheâs on top, bottom, or standing up.

I don't think the last fight was a fluke. The leg kicks were just one of Dustin's tools working in that fight. We saw he could take Conor's best punch and smile. If Conor can't shock him in the first two minutes, the odds shift exponentially in Poirier's favor from then on out.
