Tim Elliott, DEC
Mudaerji is fun to watch, but he's maily striking-oriented and Elliott is no joke. Despite being older he has a more complete skill-set and the experience is night and day. I think Elliott will be too much for a young prospect at this stage of his career while he's kind of maintaining this one dimensional style. A few years down the road he's probably the future in the division, but for now i think The Gates will be kept closed.

I’m never picking against Gane. Volkov is good tho.

Need to watch tape, but I wouldn't be surprised if he stopped Volkov here, Alex's defense has failed him before, he did look pretty dominant against Overeem, but that was to be expected after how Alistair looked against Sakai.

Edit: It is five rounds, and I am a ******* idiot. Volkov.

Can not wait for this one. I've been on the Gane train for a while now and I think after this one we'll be seeing a ton of new passengers. I can't remember seeing a guy look as technically sound as Gane has in as short of a time period in the game. He seems to be good everywhere and his movement is second to none at heavyweight. The speed advantage will be on full display here and will be the reason he wins this fight. Volkov has looked good since upping his weight but that was against Overeem and Walt Harris; two guys who are way more hitable than Gane. Ciryl is going to stick and move and frustrate Volkov. I'm expecting Gane to catch a front kick or dump him in the clinch and lock up a sub shortly after. I've already locked up a big bet on Gane @ -138 and I feel as good about that spot as I have on an mma bet in a while. I fully expect that line to be sitting closer to -200 come fight night. Here's to hoping the sub prop odds are just as juicy!

Great heavyweight main event. Volkov and Gane are both very technical strikers, and Gane has a huge edge in grappling. I see Gane sticking with his jab and move style to get it done over 25 minutes while Alexander tries to find a home for his teep kicks to the body.

Alexander Volkov, TKO, R3
Volkov has what it takes to beat him in the standup, if the grappling comes into play heavily in this fight, then I think Gane will tko with ground or pound or maybe even get a submission, but still leaning Volkov in this matchup.

I really don't understand how Prachnio is a favourite here... Granted he showed some improvements in his last fight, but it was against the very inconsistant Rountree, and he still has TERRIBLE striking defense... Villanueva isn't an elite fighter by any means, but he's an ex heavyweight, hits like a truck, is tough as a rock and I'm pretty sure it will be anough to catch Prachnio for another spectacular KO...

Not sure about that one. Pineda looked good against Swanson (well, before getting brutally ko'd), very aggressive with devastating leg kicks. As old as he is now, Swanson is still tough as a rock and hits very hard, but I can see Pineda badly compromising Fili' legs. If he can't get a finish in the first 2 rounds tho, Pineda doesn't seem to have the cardio to survive a Fili final charge. I'm trusting Fili, as he's still improving from fighhts to fights. Should be fun either way.
