The PPC Thread

This is the official thread for the PPC (Pink Prediction Championship) fantasy game series that I run. I have listed all the previous winners of the PPC on my profile page and will continue to update it after every PPC. If anyone wants to know any other stats or records about the PPC, just ask!

The PPC (Pink Prediction Championship) is a points-based game where up to 16 users compete. It’s free to enter but then again there are also no chips to be won but for what it’s worth, I’ll follow the winner (or winners in the event of a tie) of each PPC, along with a congratulations comment on their wall and an invite to the next PPC. 2nd and 3rd place (including any joint 2nd or 3rd places) will get a congratulations comment on their wall. The reason for this is that I don’t want anyone to want to join the game but not being able to afford to while also still having some kind of prize structure (although not much of one) but it is just a friendly competition after all! The only people to get invites will be the previous champion (or champions in the event of a tie) because I want to make this an open competition and if I invited everyone I wanted to invite then all 16 places would fill up very quickly.

Every PPC is made up of:

• 1 MMA event

• 1 Boxing event

• 1 UFC event

The idea is that this should test your general MMA knowledge (1 MMA event), your Boxing knowledge (1 Boxing event) and your mainstream MMA knowledge (1 UFC event) so that in theory, the winner of each PPC is the one with the best all-round combat sports knowledge.

There is also a PPC group that anyone is welcome to join (I’ll accept all requests. If I don’t accept you straight away, it’s because I’m either at work, sleeping or otherwise busy). This group will have a records thread that lists the full tables of every PPC and any other random threads that are created by the members. The group leaderboard will only include the MMA/Boxing/UFC events used in the PPC’s. You can find it in the Pick ‘Em Groups section.

This is designed as a friendly league and is solely for fun. Hopefully it will also act as a good introduction to the fantasy games for new users or users that have never taken part in fantasy games before while also providing an opportunity for them to meet regular fantasy players. If you are looking for a fantasy game with some fantasy chips involved, then I highly recommend the “Most Painful Picks” and “Seagalski Elimination Series” run by Steven Seagalski, the “Shark Cups” run by Rombu and the monthly boxing games and UFC games run by Mikey1903 they are well worth checking out! Ask them for more info on their respective fantasy competitions.

There will only be one PPC running at any one time otherwise I’d just confuse myself. If you have any questions, even stupid ones, just ask! Anyway, if you’re interested then head on over to the fantasy games and look for one titled “PPC” followed by a number. I hope to see you soon and good luck!

The 7 events are up and we have a new all time leader for most PPC wins! Congratulations to @hunterp for winning his record 7th PPC Title! He was previously tied with @FistyMcKickerChoke for the record with 6 wins each but has now taken back the record outright! As the current PPC Champion, you will receive an invite to the PPC 61 when I set it up shortly!

Well done to @editmichel and @FistyMcKickerChoke for finishing in 2nd and 3rd respectively!

Our sole ghost player @Judo finished in 16th with 2,000 points but in his defence, I'm certain he'd have got a lot more if he remembered his Smith Jr. VS Geffrard picks lol!

The PPC 61 was another very close game with only 100 points separating 1st and 7th! Congratulations to @Kairos El for winning his 2nd PPC Title! As the current PPC Champion, you will receive an invite to the PPC 62 when I set it up shortly!

I came 2nd and well done to @mmma for finishing in a close 3rd!

The PPC 62 was another very close game with only 105 points separating the top 7! Congratulations to @hunterp for winning the PPC 62 which now extends his most PPC wins record to 8 wins! (@FistyMcKickerChoke holds the 2nd most wins with 6). As the current PPC Champion, you will receive an invite to the PPC 63 when I set it up shortly!

I finished in 2nd and well done to @Schatte for finishing in a very close 3rd in a close game!

Well he's certainly got the best record of all the PPC entrants. I keep an Olympic style medals table of all the entrants and of all games combined to record who's got the best top 3 record. Here's what the top 5 look like:

2) FistyMcKickerChoke-- 6x wins / 4x 2nd places / 3x 3rd places
3) Stephen Terry----------- 5x wins / 5x 2nd places / 10x 3rd places

We had to wait a little while for the final boxing card to come in but we have the results now! Congratulations to @pureincognito for winning his 5th PPC Title with a relatively comfortable 215 point margin! As for our ghost players, @Steven Seagalski finished in 6th with 2,675 points, @Yo3L_R0mero finished in 8th with 2,620 points, @Cheeseball finished in 12th with 2,370 points and @FistyMcKickerChoke finished in 19th with 2,085 points but I'm sure he'd have done better if he hadn't have forgotten the Rigondeaux VS Astrolabio boxing card lol!


Finally, I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone for your patience while we waited for those boxing results to be confirmed and for making it the joint biggest PPC ever along with the PPC 56 with 20 players! Thanks for making it such a great game and I hope to see you in the PPC 67!

The PPC 67 is a 3 event game. The events are:

ACA 137: Magomedov VS Matevosyan

It's only a smaller game but under normal circumstances, I'd have added the Cage Warriors 133 and the PFL Challenger Series #3 cards but they are going down on Friday and it's already Thursday now so you wouldn't have had much time to get your picks in and I know you've all got lives outside of Tapology so I didn't think it would be fair to add events that are going off in a day to the game. It should still hopefully be a good game though! Good luck everyone!

It may have been one of the shorter and smaller games in the series so far but history was made in the PPC 67! Congratulations to @hunterp who has won his record 10th PPC Title! He's the first person to break the double figures mark for PPC Titles and extends his record even further (the 2nd closest is still @FistyMcKickerChoke with 6 wins!)  He's also won about 15% of all the PPC games for those who like percentage stats! As the current PPC Champion, you will receive an invite to the PPC 68 when I set it up shortly!

Well done as well to @editmichel who finished in 2nd just 5 POINTS away from @hunterp! Well done as well to @Kairos El for finishing in a close 3rd, only 30 points away from @hunterp!

As for our ghost players, @Steven Seagalski came in a very close 4th with 1,635 points, only 5 points behind @Kairos El and @Jamahal Peruanski finished in joint 14th with 1,360 points.
