If Lara had any sliver of fight IQ and didn't barrel forward into the takedowns I may have had a chance

Is pitbull vs McKee the biggest fight in bellator history of 2 homegrown talents? I'm so ******* excited for that one

I knew Jason Jackson could get it done fairly easily.

Just 'cause the guy's name is Gracie doesn't mean he's a great fighter.

I wouldn't say Jason Jackson made it look easy by any stretch of the imagination. I thought he won but by no means was it easy.

Nice first event back for Bellator on the year. Surprised Pitbull won that quickly against Sanchez.

What a run Jason Jackson has had. Lost on TUF and got in an argument with Cruz afterwards, Bounced around on regional scene for a bit, raises stock with split dec loss to ed ruth (I thought he won that fight), than racks up 4 wins in a row against guys like Mein, Bendo, and Neiman

I like how Pitbull is happy with Bellator, or at least it seems like it. He is probably Bellator's best fighter, and most exciting at this point.

Beginner's Luck?

Predictions: 10 of 11 Winners, 1 Perfect, 595 Points   |   Tied for 630th

Just found this forum, and I really like learning from your comments here.

First time I've picked an entire card. Pretty much followed the pack, except thought Kana Watanabe would be more focused than Alexandra "Azul" Lara. Lara's pre-match interviews seemed to imply she saw Watanabe as a stepping stone match toward a Velasquez rematch, and she's had more distractions this past year, being a reality show star. By contrast, Watanabe embodied classic Japanese pre-match humility, i.e. "A capable hawk hides its talons" (before the attack). Her Judoka strength, and her literal strength (did you see those guns in the weigh-in?) were major factors. Once she got Lara on the ground in the later rounds, it was curtains (plus a nice opportunity for anatomical appreciation...). Clearly W. needs to work hard on her striking defense and offense.

Look forward to reading and learning more.

Cheers.

Maurice

PS: Apologies for asking a question that appears answered, but how do I post my predictions. They don't appear when I review my post.

You're right about Jackson, who not only didn't make it easy, he may have made it harder on himself by scraping his face on the cage... (or was that what you meant)?

I was just saying that Jackson made it look pretty easy because Gracie didn't do anything with his positions on the ground, even though he is a BJJ expert and Jackson is by no means that.

The eye injury has to be one of the weirdest we've seen in the sport.

@MCL1978

On the right hand side of the screen, near the top of the page, it should have your predictions listed at the side like this:

Underneath that there is a URL code next to where it says "Embed" that you need to copy.

You then need to go into the reply box and click on the grey "img" button and it should come up with a pop-up box like this:

Paste the code into that box and then click "OK" and just submit the post. Hope this helps!

Aha..... Got it, I think!

Thanks for these great instructions, Stephen Terry. They are "brilliant" as one might say! ðŸ˜‰

PS: Regarding my picks:
1. Perhaps if Watanabe/Lara had gone for another 30 seconds, Kana would have gotten the submission.
2. On Gracie, I clearly went with the name, and the pack, to my detriment.

@MCL1978

No worries mate! I also made the mistake of going with Gracie. The other Gracie's have been a bit or miss in the past but judging by his record, Neiman looked promising coming into this fight so it seemed like a logical pick at the time.
