Predictions: 6 of 9 Winners, 1 Perfect, 340 Points   |   Tied for 610th

Rodriguez vs. Waterson
Marina Rodriguez, TKO, R1
just one of those years

Cerrone vs. Morono
Alex Morono, SUB, R2
Wow, the bettors and you guys are being really nice to cowboy. Did something change between the Price fight and now or are you all sentimental? I'm almost leaning toward KO but I don't think Morono will put him all the way out, I think he rocks him then locks in a choke

Magny vs. Neal
Neil Magny, DEC
Magny is great at using a reach advantage when he has it, and he has 5" in this fight. I've had women pat me on the back and assure me that 5 inches is more than enough, and to please stop crying, so I think it will be enough for Neil to beat Neal.

Greene vs. Rogério de Lima
Marcos Rogério de Lima, TKO, R1
They should cut both of these guys regardless of the result of this fight. There are better heavyweights in regional orgs that the UFC should hire in their place.

Ferreira vs. Gillespie
Diego Ferreira, SUB, R2
If he walks out to Footloose I might bet the house.

Ribas vs. Hill
Amanda Ribas, SUB, R2
No games today, no "proving her striking," this is going to be a beatdown and probably a wrestle****. At least I hope so, I think Ribas could still improve and fight for the belt

Hawes vs. Daukaus
Phil Hawes, TKO, R1
I smell something thunderous, one of those shots that Hawes almost landed in the last fight will find its mark this time and Daukaus will crumble

Trizano vs. Klein
Ľudovít Klein, TKO, R2
Klein hits too damn hard, can't survive it.

Nchukwi vs. Park
Tafon Nchukwi, TKO, R2
This is a step up for Nchukwi but I think he can handle it. As long as he doesn't gas out trying to KO Park early I think he can wear him down.

Predictions: 4 of 9 Winners, 1 Perfect, 240 Points   |   Tied for 2041st

Rodriguez vs. Waterson
Marina Rodriguez, DEC
This is such a weird main event...... Marina can win this as long as she keeps it standing.

Cerrone vs. Morono
Donald Cerrone, DEC
....Fine. I'll take Cowboy. But I won't be surprised if he loses this one too. It really comes to whoever can show up.

Magny vs. Neal
Geoff Neal, TKO, R2
I think people are forgetting about Neal.... Or Magny just is not that good anymore....

Greene vs. Rogério de Lima
Marcos Rogério de Lima, TKO, R1
Ugh.... I'll take Lima. Greene striking is gonna get him hurt here.

Ferreira vs. Gillespie
Gregor Gillespie, DEC
Yeah... Ferreira missing weight against a NCAA wrestling Div 1 former champ is not good news. We all have a gift to receive.

Ribas vs. Hill
Amanda Ribas, SUB, R3
Yeah. Hill's in a bit of trouble. Taking Ribas, a high level grappler in 1 month notice. She's pretty much the oldest strawweight I've seen, and her striking is has about as good as it can get. I see Ribas locking something late.

Hawes vs. Daukaus
Kyle Daukaus, DEC
Honestly, Hawes is screwed if he can't get Kyle out early. His cardio is baaaad late. Super bad. I just hope Kyle can see this and come through.

Trizano vs. Klein
Ľudovít Klein, DEC
Klein is game as hell. But he'll be tested here. Can't wait.

Nchukwi vs. Park
Tafon Nchukwi, DEC
Da Don is back. Also park is suspected to have staph. Not good.

Aguilera vs. Harris
Carlston Harris, SUB, R3
Harris finning to come through!

I mean we like to act like we know what it means but who knows. It's indictive of it but also he might have done it on purpose for a size advantage/being fresher by less of a cut. Magny definitely did too he probably looked worse but he made the weight.

And I agree tsfon didn't look quite as big but again that might be on purpose the dude probably slimmed down to make middleweight a bit easier. I think he still gets it done but honestly idk about much on this card

@Bravo, it matters a lot. If you miss by that amount and STILL look bad, then you’ve been ******* about. I’ve done 28 in two weeks when I used to fight at 135. If you cut too hard you can’t get fluids back, your blood volume shifts and spikes radically, and you end up putting back on less weight and your cardio is shot. When I moved up to 145 it was a world of difference, and while I don’t think Ferreira is oversized for the division he definitely ****** up his diet. Maybe he is pulling a fast one and faking it to get a bit of a size advantage, which is very impactful when fighting wrestlers. However, nobody knows for sure and I’ve seen and been through enough ****** cuts to believe that he was ****** up and probably still slightly compromised. I still think the line is too wide, I just don’t have the confidence to place money on either party with a variable like that in play.

To answer your other question @Bravo, if he wasn’t faking then he was 1-2 pounds away from going to the hospital. When you’re that dry 1-2 pounds is basically Mount Everest.

This card is highlighting why extreme weight-cutting is the biggest problem in MMA. Bottom line is it is unhealthy and fighters don't need any more health risks going into a fight. It's risky enough on its own. Wouldn't it be better for the fighters to be in the best shape they can? Turn the prep point into a digital scale so it's public knowledge what the actual fight weights are for a year and then implement wholesale weight class changes, weight class licensing, and for godsake hydration testing. Rant done.

P.S. A bonus side effect would be the MUCH easier time you'd have finding a short notice replacement.

Brain trauma + weight cutting. Terrifies me honestly. So much of what cushions your brain gets drained when you cut.

Yeah weight cutting is a problem but what are they going to do? Let's say they implement some hydration testing like one, then you gotta basically strip every champion and start the whole roster from scratch. Some people don't cut at all some people cut extremely, and all in between so it's not like you just move everyone up a class. There's no way the ufc is going to do all that

Weight cutting is a concern but not even top 5 mma has lots of problems judging and other corruption facets get top 3.
Let me bluntly remind al of you Jones, Khabib, GSP, Matt Hughes Bj penn never would have had the careers without cutting.
Bj to a lesser degree but 10 pounds is still a chunk of water.
Cheaters "fighters" is number 4 bad self serving management is 5.
Bottom line it is a part of all competitive sports with weight classes has been for longer than any of us have drawn breath.

@tieoken and is the worst thing about all the Brain Damage And CTE is that most of the topic is just mostly bro science for methods to lower the risk?  because I heard some guy talk about it on some podcast talking about how you can’t really test the methods because no one in the right mind would to get hit really hard in the noggin for science.
