I assure you I am not a trust fund baby. I'm just actually pretty decent at this, despite your algorithm telling you otherwise. I made a good amount last NFL season and am still betting with it. Haven't deposited in awhile. I'd be particularly careful using my real money given how weird 2020 and the foreseeable future has been/will be. NBA spreads are what I usually bet, though it's so streaky, and you tend you pull your hair out when your team benches their starters for garbage time.

But most of that win didn't come from 5/6 fighter parlays, because I agree that's ******* dumb. It's just a more fun ticket to post. Most of it was a Round Robin, and 2/3 fighter parlays.

@Duck, as if on cue, I like Jiri, Strickland, and Lookboonmee. What d'ya want from me?

@Erison I've never known anyone who thought they were bad at it--but I have known a lot of people who were.

And I'm sure my luck will change! I'm not under the impression I've cracked a code or anything. I know when to back off. I'm sure you'll like to hear one of my L's: I was a Zhang Weili win away from another 10k day.

I agree posting tickets makes me look like an ******* which is why I normally wouldn't, and I deserve the downvotes. Moving on, I agree with everyone who said this is a weird volatile card.

"I know when to back off" yeah haven't heard that one before Erison! You don't sound like an ******* because your posting tickets, you sound like an ******* when you say **** like, "I'm sure you'd like to hear one of my L's: I was a Zhang Weili win away from 10k". I'm a degen gambler and I like to parlay ufc too, but flexing them is just cringe.

lol, see? Never in my entire time on this board have I ever boasted about a win, or even a loss if that's somehow a flex (???). Fish said I'd never posted a ticket, so I just did, and I'm gonna go right back to keeping that **** to myself because I KNOW no one wants to hear it. Mentioning the loss was specifically for Fish because he was rooting against Zhang (and me, generally).

edit: also maybe you read it wrong? I'm saying I didn't win, not I won some but would have won more. My bets got headkicked. No flex anywhere in there.

Dude @Erison, I like basically all of your contributions on the fight pages. I was mostly joshing about Giga because I’ve lost every bet I made on him. I kind of feel like people turned this into a witch hunt lol. The only thing I’ll say about the bet slips, is that posting your “money in” is an irrelevant factor, I know the bookie you’re using and they count deposits towards that number and it doesn’t factor in money lost. I’ve seen you put your bets out there before though on cards and you usually do well. I like reading them too because I think you provide intellectual dialogue.

Keep it up and you got my roll dwarfed by like 20 fold lol!

As a gambling addict, a few things I’d like to say @ a few going back and forth above @fishrat @erison

-You don’t need to know implied probability to gamble
-Posting “Money In” doesn’t mean **** without showing us your “Money Out”
-“Money In” is inflated by your deposits so Bovada can trick you into thinking you’re good
-Your parlay screenshots don’t mean **** without showing how much you risked, cool you won a $10 parlay lol

I make dozens of parlays a card it’s very easy to just post the winners

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 11 Winners, 3 Perfect, 425 Points   |   Tied for 1280th

Reyes vs. Procházka
Dominick Reyes, TKO, R2
This fight is 50/50. Jiri plays defense with his chin. Oezdemir rocked him like twice in his UFC debut. But oezdemir wilted first and got KO'd by jiri. If it goes to championship rounds (and that's a big if), Reyes has the advantage. But this fight is gonna end within 3 rounds. Expecting Reyes to catch jiri with a counter as he bum rushes forward or we might see Reyes unable to read since jiri is so unorthodox and wild and Reyes gets KO'd.

Swanson vs. Chikadze
Giga Chikadze, DEC
This is the true test for Giga to see if he belongs to the top 15 featherweight. If cub was known for wrestling and grappling, he would have won easily but he hardly utilies it. I see this fairly as a stand-up match and the striking edge goes to Giga. 29-28 decision for Giga.

Cutelaba vs. Jacoby
Ion Cutelaba, TKO, R2
Jacoby's last win has a big asterisk on it. He had a competitive fight against a very low opponent in Grishin. Jacoby is stepping up in competition. Cutelaba only loses to higher ranked fighters. Cutelaba will have the most advantage in the grappling department since he's a former European sambo champion but he has fallen in love with the stand up game. So, I see him knocking out Jacoby in early round 2.

Strickland vs. Jotko
Sean Strickland, TKO, R2
Strickland looking reinvigorated after the motorbike accident. His stand up is looking sharp and his jabs are powerful too. I see Jotko trying to grapple with Strickland but Strickland used to train with Dan Henderson and expecting him to utilize the skills he learned back then and keep it on the feet.

Dvalishvili vs. Stamann
Merab Dvalishvili, DEC
Merab is the better all round fighter between the two. Stamann doesn't have power so he point fights and mixes in wrestling if he is fighting a striker. But Merab is like the better version of Stamann. What's gonna be a huge difference though is the cardio- merab's cardio and pace is second to none. Merab via unanimous decision

Botelho vs. Carolina
Poliana Botelho, DEC
Two average female fighters but Botelho is better than Carolina. Only area where Carolina is good is in the clinch. Her distance striking is below average. This crap of "putting on at least a female fight in main card in almost every UFC card" gotta stop. If they don't deserve to be on main card (male or female), they should be featured in prelims. Should have been Benitez vs Peace on the maincard.

Benítez vs. Pearce
Gabriel Benítez, TKO, R2
Benitez's striking and output looked solid in his last fight against Jaynes. If Pearce can grapple to minimize the striking exchange, he has a chance to win. But I see Benitez maintaining the distance and putting on a striking clinic and show Pearce that there's level to this.

Kamaka III vs. Brown
TJ Brown, DEC
Kamaka's cardio is not good... I see him going hard on round 1 trying to get a finish. If Brown survives round 1, he's gonna be a live dog for sure. Brown has switch camps and I'm putting my trust on James Krause, an excellent coach with good game strategy, to come up with a plan and exploit Kamaka's weakness. Of course, It's all up to Borwn if he sticks to the game plan.

Hughes vs. Lookboonmee
Loma Lookboonmee, TKO, R2
Lookboonmee has excellent striking skills. Tiger Muay Thai fighters are something else. She's undersized for the 115 but Sam is a below average fighter. Lookboonmee might not have the ground game but she has good takedown defense and Sam isn't gonna wrestler her and hold her down for 2/3 rounds and win the fight. If you're betting on Sam, you're a degenerate. Expecting Lookboonmee to destroy Sam... Could see her catching Sam with a nasty elbow in the clinch.

Bhullar vs. Michailidis
Andreas Michailidis, TKO, R1
Bhullar's record is a huge sus. He shells up when hit by anything significant. In his last fight, his UFC debut, he got rocked by a jab and got tko'd. Michailidis' debut was better and he gave himself a good account in the first round until the ref stopped the fight. It was such a weird stoppage. Michailidis is better everywhere, good output and he can wrestle Bhullar if he wishes too. But a concern is that Michailidis is dropping down to 185 so gotta watch out the weigh ins.

Sanders vs. Colares
Luke Sanders, DEC
Sanders has questionable fight IQ. Colares has like 36% takedown defense and Sanders has the wrestling advantage. . If Sanders comes with a good game plan to mix in the wrestling, he'll get a win. Sanders gets KO'd after he gets tired but I don't think Colares has the power or the volume to put away Sanders. Colares' has low output.

For the record “Money Out” doesn’t really show anything either because it counts losses and withdrawals as the same. Being that I withdrew almost all of the gains it’s gonna say Money In $57,900 Money Out $55,900. If anyone’s got their arms crossed and just NEEDS me to prove something more, like laboriously screenshotting all of my wins with money risked and won pictured in 4K, DM me. Don’t need to derail this thread any further.

Yeah, that's one of the things I hate about Bovada. They have great everything except their lines are up late and they have horrible tracking. It's kind of laborious keeping up my spreadsheet, but it's less laborious than trying to use the built in Bovada tracker.

Only bet I'm thinking about here is Jiri but theres a chance that he does not hit that hard and its just Oezdemir that have already take too much damage to the head. I will probably passe here and watch it like a caual regreting not to bet it at the end of the night.

Yeah as far as sportsbooks go, Bovada seems like the least aesthetically pleasing with its tickets and being able to check your own record.

Jiri looked great and is monster at 205. These odds just feel like a trap to me.
A year ago Reyes was going to war with Jon Jones.
Jiri has just one UFC win. His past three are against guys clearly past their prime.

Feel like I have to buy the dip on Reyes here. A real step up in competition.

This is a can of a fight, but I have to side with Sanders who should have the advantage on the mat. Low level fight.
