Merab is training with Aljo in preparation for his March 6th title fight. They are in Las Vegas and the Machine recently stated he will be ready for a short-notice bout in February as he aims to compete with his teammate Funk Master on UFC 259.

 Who will he fight next?

1. Chito Vera (#13) - This is the most likely next fight for Merab. Vera was ranked before his loss to Aldo one month ago. Chito is always game, and was shown training with Henri Hooft on today's Embedded episode leading into UFC 257. Chito has star power, so even though he lost his last fight, he may get another chance to fight up the rankings. Will the UFC make this bout?

2. Said Nurmagomedov (#18) - Merab doesn't have the biggest following or the most clout so, although he is a ranked fighter, they might pit the Machine against another fighter with lots of talent but a low profile. if Said is ready

3. Rani Yahya (#24), Jack Shore (#28), Brett Johns (#31)
