I didn't know much about Mauricio Lara, the Mexican Featherweight Boxer, set to challenge Josh Warrington in the Main Event of this evening's Matchroom UK Pro Boxing Card, prior to reading his Pro Boxing Record during the last hour, but he looks to be a handful, who carries some power for the weight class! Lara's Pro Boxing Record currently stands at 21 Wins, 14 by way of KO/TKO, with 2 Losses (1 by KO in the very 1st Round, against a fellow Mexican fighter, who generally fights at Lightweight, which is 9 Pounds higher than the Featherweight Division... Amazingly, this KO loss on Lara's record occurred on Saturday 19th May 2018, which was the same night that Josh Warrington beat Lee Selby to claim the IBF World Featherweight Title at Elland Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire... How spooky and now fate, 2 1/2 years on has matched the two fighters together) 0 Draws... Lara is only young, 22 Years old and he has stated all week that the wise bet is to put money down on him by Stoppage, but in my view, although Warrington needs to remain focused at all time, I only see one Winner and that should be Warrington inside the distance instead... Warrington between 8 - 10 is my prediction, unless the Mexican can't take the heat and wilts from an early onslaught... 🇬🇧🤔💯💷🥊👊👊🥊👍

A sharp, technically sound Boxing performance from Hopey Price a few moments ago, against a game, tough Nicaraguan Journeyman in Daniel Mendoza at Super Bantamweight. Price executed his sharp counter punches and hooks to the body of his opponent very well and showed continued development, but he does need to work on and improve the authority of his Jab, if he his to get more respect from his opponents moving forward... A good start to Hopey Price's Professional Boxing Career nonetheless... Now for a Dalton Smith KO... 🤔💯🥊👊👍🇬🇧

Great performance just now from Sheffield's own Dalton Smith, who secured a 3rd Round (between Rounds 3 and 4) Stoppage against Ishmael Ellis. Ellis was no match for Dalton Smith who took his time, remained patient and pressured his opponent from corner to corner, hitting Ellis with accurate, sharp shots... Needs a further step up in his next contest... Maybe an English Title Shot next for Dalton Smith 🤔💯👊🥊🇬🇧👍

Leigh thal Leigh Wood just scored a huge 9th Round KO of Reece Mould and probably sent Mould to the Hospital for the evening... Wood boxed very well, Mould competed to the end, especially after being dropped heavy in the 4th Round... In the 9th Round, Wood dropped a tired looking Mould and the fight probably should have been Stopped by the Referee, but as Mould got up from the canvas, Wood's extra experience, extra class and extra ability, combined with Ring IQ counted in the end, scoring the Stoppage victory... The NEW British Featherweight Champion, Leigh Wood from Nottingham... 🏆💯🇬🇧🤔👊🥊🥊👊👍

Yeah, Leigh Wood with a brutal KO finish. I was both happy and a little sad watching that. Happy that I picked a winner, a perfect thank you! Sad that I watched a brave young kid take a heavy KO. Hope Mould comes back because he's clearly talented.
