Francis N'Gannou, TKO, R1
the Stipe we saw in Stipe vs DC III three years after his fight vs Ngannou is different. 3 years out of his prime, multiple eye surgeries. stipe has spent past 3 years training and pacing himself for a 42 year old 5'10" stocky wrestler. ngannou has been training for the stipe rematch. they're in a significantly smaller cage. not a fortune teller but these things do not add up in Stipe's favor imo.
Woodley vs. Luque
Vicente Luque, TKO, R3
weight cut to 170 is too much for woodley at his age. he's here to collect another check
Almeida vs. O'Malley
Thomas Almeida, TKO, R1
sean's boxing defense looked suspect against wineland till wineland decided to drop hands

Stipe Miocic, DEC
It will be like their first meeting. Stipe will fight smart and use his clinch and wrestling while Francis is swinging overhands from his waist.
Woodley vs. Luque
Vicente Luque, DEC
In my eyes Woodley is done and will not do anything in this fight similar to his last three. Luque will be too much across 3 rounds.

How can the reigning consensus greatest Heavyweight Champ of all time 50-44 a guy and be an underdog in the rematch when the guy hasn't shown anything different from the 1st fight???? Weird.

T Woodley can't blame distractions in all 3 losses
Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 0 Perfect, 330 Points | Tied for 2858th
or being distracted from movie cameos and rap concerts.
All of that is in the past right...??? He can now focus .... back up to cage and throw that overhand right like he normally does. RIGHT ?? hahha
Or is there a blueprint 3 times on T-Woodley ?
I like how the experts think T-Woodley will rise from the ashes to win. This is awesome !! I love it!!

The first fight wasn't just a fight Stipe won. It was a perfect blueprint. He showed he was not only better, but that he had completely figured out Francis' game. No reason to think he's not going in there to do it again. Early takedowns, lateral movement, survive the early onslaught with counter punching, then aggressive clinching and boxing later.
By all means, put some prop bets on Francis by KO, but Stipe ought to be the favorite and majority vote on here.

No need to stand and trade with Luque. Just clinch him up against the cage like you did to Till and then aim for the takedown. Yes, it will be a boring fight but you get the W and get yourself back to winning or else he could face being released from the UFC if he loses this one.

In May 2019, Tyron Woodley was diagnosed with Chronic Arthritis in one of his hands
Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 3 Perfect, 390 Points | Tied for 2056th
This has a lot to do with Woodley's rapid decline after losing the championship.
The arthritis greatly affected his ability to close his hand and grip. thus reducing his reach, his ability to make takedowns, the number of punches thrown and the force they carry.
If we add the loss of confidence after 3 dominant losses in a row and the fact that Woodley is practically a half-time fighter (for the time he uses in his music recordings and other projects) this is a recipe for disaster against a Luque who is at 100% of his physical abilities and that he has a better momentum during the pandemic (2 completions against Price and Brown).
Maybe the co-main event spotlight at a pay-per-view is the motivation Woodley needs to show why he was once the welterweight champion, but a standing first round as disastrous as the one he had vs. Durinho Burns would be lapidary for his intention to return to the top.

Probably not (I still think he will be more mesured, patient, and careful this time, and that he's more used to catch takedowns with uppercuts à la Derrick Lewis).
He's probably not much better. But he doesn't have to be better to win. He just have to land one shot clean.
I think some people here doesn't understand that Miocic was just one shot away from going to sleep in the first two rounds. He was rocked multiple times and his face was a spectacular mess after the fight, although he just got hit like two or three times by Ngannou going backwards.
The fact Miocic was able to survive (and win) the first time can be attribuated to his iron chin of course (but age will be an interesting factor here), to his good footwork and head movement (he still ate one or two uppercuts), to his fight IQ (shoot for takedowns at any cost everytime Ngannou is getting too wild), AND because Ngannou was unusually wild and impatient.
I know everybody has the Rozenstruik charge in mind, but he knew he was facing a kickboxer. He's usually (a little) more patient against capable wrestlers : he can take his time a little bit and even be a mesured and technical striker if he wants to (seriously, just rewatch the first Blaydes fight)..
So now of course he just has 1 or 2 rounds to catch and finish Stipe before being complletely useless again, but 8 or 10 minutes is a long time to survive in a small cage like that.
I think it's a very hard fight to predict.
Everybody knows it can be a wild KO for Ngannou in round 1 or 2, or a 5 rounds domination by Stiocip. It can also be a few knocdowns by Ngannou early and a comeback by Miocic for an interesting decision with plenty of 10-8 rounds for each.
Ngannou can also be gunshy again like in the Lewis fight, and Miocic afraid to engage, for the 5th boring main event in a row after Gané-Rozenstruik, Jan-Adesanya, Edwards-Belal, and Brunson-Holland.
I still kinda expects a devastating Ngannou KO, but who knows for sure.
Oh and by the way nobody talks about Ngannou's chin, but he took a hard beating while being completely exhausted in the first fight, some very hard shots clean in the mug (and we all know Miocic hits HARD), but amazingly enough, Ngannou never really got rocked. Impressive.
Anyway, this is fascinating rematch against two really nice guys, and may the best man win. Pure athletism and unhuman power vs Veteran fight IQ, great cardio and well rounded technique. Can't wait !
Have a great day everybody.
