I know the situation is strange right now in the Flyweight division; Pantoja and Askar are both out for sometime with injuries and there's really no one else in the division who can be a title challenger but Figueiredo, but this trilogy bout can really stall or worsen the division depending on how it plays out. If Moreno wins, great! It closes this whole saga and essentially forces Figgy out of the title picture and we'll probably see him move up to Bantamweight like he's been hinting at.

If Figgy wins however this makes it officially 1-1-1 and then what? We pretend the first two fights never happened and phase a young, charming fighter in Moreno out of the title picture till Figueiredo loses again, if he loses again, or does the UFC do it's first ever Championship tetralogy and stall the division up with this for another year while great prospects like Askar and Pantoja wait on the sidelines? I think this could kill a lot of the interest and hype in the Flyweight division that came out of the Moreno Championship if it truly falls back into Figueiredo's hands

there are lots of ways to gain belts. just depends on how hard you work at it.

@Ringo. Some people get black belt in months, some get it in years. It's really just how much you participate and do ****

I took me about half a year to get a black belt. I would say it only takes forever if you only pick ufc/bellator cards.

@Rigno I think you're progressing at an above-average rate, because your pick % is impressively high. But once you get into brown belt the progression gets farther and farther apart.

and @xcon that's ******* hilarious!

I think figgy was sick or something in the second fight, so I'd really like to see if Moreno can beat him again if he comes in healthy this time. I turned to my friend 15 seconds into the second one and said "****, he's off, Moreno is going to win."

The fight happened on really short notice so Figgy couldn't diet down and weight cut properly in time. Looked horrible on the scales.

@Fisty I think my pick % is high is because on the smaller events I just pick the favourite unless I know one of the fighters.

i see where "the natural born killer" has retired. i was hoping nick would fight carlos in his comeback fight. diaz lost a decision the first time around in a fight that an argument could be made diaz won.

But seriously, Carlos is an animal. Almost a 100 % finish rate, never been knocked out or TKO'd, took on the hardest hitters at 170 (Lawler, Hendricks PRE-USADA, Ellenberger, everyone)

GOAT chin if he's retired.

but seriously, nick has very nearly as good a finish rate as carlos. and i would have taken diaz in a rematch. im also taking nick over robbie.

I watched this fight live, having been a fan of Carlos Condit's run in the WEC, and hearing about the monster Ellenberger was at the time, I looked forward to their debuts.

This is a classic moment for me, I'd never seen someone get hit so hard and then drop on the ground like that. Also, if you watch closely, as he's hit with the right hand he lands a knee that stuns Ellenberger, you see his arms and body react to it.

funny how they show robbie as taller when nick is actually the taller one, by an inch only. but ive noticed on other posters they seem to make whomever they want to win as the taller fighter.
