I'm disappointed about how this debate imploded as it could've been amazing
As for this particular thread, there are a couple of points that stick out to me. Firstly @Xconchris said that if a cis woman knowingly agrees to fight a transgender woman then they should fight as that's an agreement between both people. I 100% agree with this and given that I don't believe that we're at the scientific level to equalise the differences via surgery or medicine, I think that finding cis women who are willing to fight trans women is about the only realistic way of including transgender people in competitive combat sports right now.
Now for the mis-gendering issue. I personally will chose to call transgender women "women" and transgender men "men". My logic behind that is that calling someone by the pronoun they prefer doesn't harm me or anyone else in any way. As for @Xconchris's take on it, I disagree with him but I'm certainly not going to try and police his or anyone else's opinions just because they differ from my own. I guess the real issue I had with the pronoun debate in this thread was that it distracted from the fight and the following discussion about how or if transgender women should compete in combat sports as I feel that would've made for an amazing and much needed debate about the issue if we could refrain from personal attacks. But instead it descended into a "what do we call them?" argument filled with personal attacks rather than a discussion filled with great points from both sides. I guess my point is that it became an argument over pronouns rather than a debate about the relationship between the transgender community and combat sports. I felt that side argument really distracted from what could've been an amazing debate.

I agree that hoping science will one day equalise the playing field is more of a hope than an expectation and I'm certain that it won't happen in our lifetime but I refuse to rule out that it might one day be possible as you never know what technologies or in this case, medicines/surgeries are possible that we just don't know how to do yet. Science has and will continue to prove the many natural differences between men and women and it would certainly take something extremely artificial if it were to happen but again, anything's possible.
@Cheeseball
That's basically my view on it as well. It's a word and I've never understood why people (on both sides) make such a big fuss over it.
EDIT: I also agree about the transgender league but then again, that would also split into different classes not just in weight but also in length of time as a transgender women. I wouldn't want to be the matchmaker that has to find an opponant for a transgender Featherweight who has been a transgender woman for 8 years and needs an opponant with the exact same criteria.

clearly that thing was here for attention which is why we know it will be back for a 4th or 5th time. If it wasn't for attention it wouldn't have wondered back into the same thread that made it go away the first 2 times. Posting **** like "Andrade is hot to me" is solely for attention but yet its a problem when we give you the attention. See ya again in a few months BatThing

I own a rental property in this condo. And there's a neighbor. Went to a very good university, teaches English at a very good highschool, well spoken, articulate, and dresses very professional. But he's bat**** crazy. Claims they myself and other board members are putting cameras in his walls. Attacks landscapers and roofers. Has alot of dilusional conspiracy theories that are pretty much insane. But looking and talking to him, he's super smart and well spoken.
Same with this batwoman/Gotham lady. Smart, well spoken but clearly suffers from mental illness. She will never get what she wants while she is alive because the rest of society won't accept her crazy beliefs. She will find small pockets and groups that reinforce her mental illness. But that's where that stops.
Life is hard. It's harder for some people.
