Second season of Miscellaneous Legue results
Congratulations to a second season Miscellaneous League Winner.
FistyMcKickerChoke
All winners:
ML1: Mikey1903 86/122 (70.5%)
ML2: FistyMcKickerChoke 83/121 (68.5%)
This season I fked up skipping one UFC event.
What is Miscellaneous league?
It is a league that contains 10 events (all of them UFC) and it is a competition between active miscellaneous thread posters and readers.
I'm going to create a 3rd season later today. Maybe not for chips this time?
I'll invite all of this season's competitors except the guy who had picked only half of the fights. After a day or two I'll share the link for rest of you to join. Ghost players allowed, under a condition of signing up verbally before the next UFC event (after I post the link).
Once again congrats for the winner.

what do you think? if Islam had beaten someone more competitive lately then I'd put him in 4th, but can't do that after the top 4 had so incredible fights between each other

@freemen It might be dumb, but I rank RDA higher than Islam because he is a former champion and Islam said he would fight him and didn’t. I call that an RDA win. Especially after the beating he put on Moicano.

About Roe vs Wade and SCOTUS.
However, a couple of things need to be cleared up--because a lot of people aren't understanding basic civics.
Threats against SCOTUS, and protesting the places of residence of the bench, should not be tolerated in any way, nor encouraged, and any politician who engages in this kind of behaviour needs to be jailed for sedition and treason, and any department who explicitly states that they will ignore SCOTUS' ruling needs to be excised and rebuilt from the ground up.
You see kids, what SCOTUS does is decide what the law is. That is, its role is to decide the legality, and to interpret the legality, of policies and laws. What SCOTUS does not do is create Laws. SCOTUS is not a legislature, and it is not a legislative body.
What that means is thus:
Whether or not handing back the power to outlaw abortion to the states is a good or bad idea is of absolutely no concern whatsoever to SCOTUS, it has no power invested in it to make such determinations, and if it ever did so that would be a violation of its function and an abuse of its power.
SCOTUS does not write Laws. Politicians and cabinets write Laws. SCOTUS determines whether the laws written by politicians and cabinets are constitutionally valid. That's it.
Now, there is not a single line in the US constitution, or the bill of rights, anywhere, that explicitly guarantees abortion as an inalienable right. If blame needs to be placed anywhere, it's with the legislature. Not the courts.
The DOJ released a statement recently to the effect that it intends to ignore SCOTUS' ruling. This is incredibly dangerous, and frankly unbelievable to me. If the executive begins to act in a politically partisan way, and straight up ignores directives of the judiciary, you don't have a republic nor a democracy anymore. Separation of powers is destroyed. It is utterly incomprehensible to me that the DOJ would issue such a statement, and it should serve as a very big wake up call for the state of rule of law in the united states.
