Conor was tremendously talented but he also had quite the lucky streak to build that persona behind him. He was truly gifted at marketing himself and creating his fame though, almost as gifted at that as he was with his hands. I don’t think you’ll ever find someone who can piece both of those together along with the luck he had in the cage. And to be fair it shouldn’t be on the fighter, Lebron isn’t expected to be like Chael or Conor on the mic, it’s the job of the NBA and whatever team he’s on to promote him to that level. He just has to be a stud while playing. But the UFC seems to be lacking in this area, and one of those flaws is their ****** sponsorship deals. Any Nike sponsored athlete will cross the sport boundary, but no non-MMA fans even know what Venum is...

Twitter has been pretty wholesome this week with Adrian Yanez and Randy Costa basically doing the UFC's job for them and creating a match. Yet the UFC wont schedule it. really weird seeing as how they love to burn prospects if its their idea.

UFC definetly wants to push Paddy. Young, long hair, English, exciting, talks a good game. I just think hes mediocore and might be crushed if he gets the wrong opponent or pushed too fast. It gets fairly easy to see who the UFC wants to push and who they dont over time.

It was broken from the kick but it actually came off in the grappling exchange in round 2. when the opponent was pulling on his glove. The coolest part was no one could find it. They checked the cage, under the cage (only found Jon Jones) and even asked the audience to help look for it lol. It was in his glove the whole time. it has since been sewn back on. He didn't even know he lost it until the round ended and he went to the stool. notice his pinky and ring finger are out of the gloves finger holes. Opponent was pulling on the glove so bad that when the 2 fingers came out one happened to pop off

To get back to the unusual and miscellaneous

This almost cost Jon Jones his title when he fought Chael Sonnen, I watched the fight live and of course Chael starts getting whooped. Jones is in his guard, I didn't notice it, Joe Rogan didn't when it happened and Jon had no idea or his corner.

He destroys Chael, with a bit to go in the round. Joe starts to interview Jon, and notices that Jon's toe is broken and the bone is showing. In slow motion it looks horrible, and he could have lost that toe.

He looks down and is in shock, and actually sits on the stool and talks to Joe while they attend his toe. If Chael survived that round, Jon Jones wouldn't be cleared by the doctor, and Chael would have won the title.
