I was having a thought in the shower Sunday morning and Bisping just said the same thing on his podcast: McGregor is a bad matchup for Charlie Olives if they make it. He's been dropped in his last 3 fights, and usually when McGregor drops someone that's the end of the fight.

Charles getting knock down is Kinda overated, most of the time it more him just going to his back more then getting dropped, it’s smart because why would you go to the ground with oliveria

Are you serious? Those were all bad knockdowns, when I was watching the Chandler fight I was surprised there wasn't a stoppage. I feel like you just say things to be contrarian sometimes because they don't make any sense in reality.

Interesting take but even if Conor McGregor did drop Charles Oliveira and try to follow up with ground and pound or hammer fists or whatever then I think Oliveira would be able to wriggle his way out of it and then it would soon be the end for McGregor.

I agree with that take but I still think Charles subs his ass easily. Mcgregor definitely has a punchers chance. If he were to get a knockdown he would 100% go to the ground and try and finish and that wouldn’t end well for him

I don’t think he did it in the Chandler fight, but in the Justin fight and Dustin fight, he did fell on the floor, just to see if they follow him to the ground, Justin got one legimate knockdown on him, I don’t think Dustin did, But Charles falling on the ground does make it look like Dustin and Justin get multiple knockdowns on him, 

Sorry guys, Da Bronx going down on purpose I think is a bold thesis.
It's no secret that he's easily hurt.
It's also no secret that he doesn't feel uncomfortable on his back.
But the fact that he intentionally goes down to lure the opponent obviously speaks
against his approach to defeating opponents.
He doesn't build up this pressure to release it by falling on his back.

I wish I had the video but my brother showed me a video on Snapchat of some kids he knows fighting and the dude got ko’ed by a spinning elbow🤣🤣

I do agree that Oliveira does the Diaz thing where he sits down after getting rocked a bit. However that is also the reason why I picked Poirier and Gaethje over him - how long can he keep relying on that to save him? Like it's smart that he sits himself down into his comfort zone, recovers as much as possible and then gets a standing reset, but what happens when that won't work anymore? You can only absorb so much damage, and if this dude keeps getting rocked in the very first round so much that he feels like he needs to keep sitting down to recover, well then eventually he's going to get his chin cracked.


Even after he loses on this run he's on, he will not be given any easy fights if he decides to continue a UFC run. He's now earned a certain "status" and he is going to be fed to the wolves repeatedly, which usually means he'll get handed guys with heavy hands who want to make a name off of the great Charles Oliveria. His run is fantastic, one of the most exciting we've seen in a while, but I just wish he was a bit more defensively responsible in the first ******* round.

Yesterday, on Polish MMA show "Oktagon Live" on YT, Gamrot was asked whether the fight contract he signed was 5 round or 3 round, he said that it was a 3 round fight. He mentioned that UFC most likely sees them as small competitors still. He also explained the backstage of looking for a fight, so because of the fact Riddell lost last fight, he was kinda excluded by UFC. Both Tsarukyan and Gamrot wanted to fight Gillespie, but Gillespie turned down both fights. Fight took 1 month to sign for Gamrot only because his manager (Dan Lambert) didn't want Tsarukyan and Gamrot fight so early. Both Tsarukyan and Gamrot come to ATT quite frequentely. Gamrot have decided to do a camp in Poland this time, but he said it has nothing to do with Tsarukyan being in ATT. 

What he tweeted 20 minutes ago though, may be a hint that ufc made them a co-main or main event. Haven't heard about any of his friends joining UFC.

From what Ive heard yesterday, Gamrot wanted it to be a 5-rounder, but still, he said they are probably too "small" in matter of marketing

Yet, Arman has also posted something interesting on his Instagram stories, also mentioning that big news is coming
