Blaydes really didnt need that lazy takedown attempt. He was killing Lewis' leg and looked great on the feet.

Love him all you want but that’s not herbs fault referees can’t be in there in a split second every time. Sometimes fighters have to manage themselves or someone will get killed. It’s poor sportsmanship and there is no need for it at all. Blaydes seems like a decent and humble guy. Anyone else walks away and doesn’t hit him again. Simple. Takes a ****** human being to try and shorten someone’s career when the fight is already won

Yeah I genuinely feel bad for Blaydes. He seems like a really good guy, and hearing the noises he was making when he was knocked out got to me.

Lewis has some issues he needs to work on imo. It would be karma if someone done that to him and he couldn’t fight again or even worse. If someone dies in that cage this sport is done tbh it’s already the black sheep of sport. Be professional control yourself when the fights done

the rules say fight until the referee tells you to stop. blaydes knows the rules. did you complain when masvidal hit askren after he was out? probably not because no one likes askren. just because you like blaydes you think it was dirty. not at all. dont like the rules? watch tennis or golf.

Hindsight is 2020 but I dont know why Blaydes felt like he needed that Takedown. I can see that he would want to mix it up though. Am I the only one that likes Blaydes?

Don’t be a dip**** Phillip. If blaydes didn’t get back up there you would be saying the same thing as me. I liked Lewis before that. I watch this sport because I like it but there’s no place for that in it. That’s the kind of thing that puts someone off taking up mma or even watching it. Hitting someone that hard when they clearly aren’t waking up isn’t sport anymore. Sure it’s up for the referee to step in but sometimes someone should use common sense. I’ve only seen people go limp like that and get hit after it twice. Henderson on bisping and masvidal on askren, the difference is there was genuine hate there and having to teach a trash talker a lesson. The referee is a few meters away. Give him time to step in

@Spud Its one of the worst parts of the sport but when the Adrenaline is rushing it must be a bit blinding. Its one thing if they want to keep hitting or cranking after the ref physically pulls them off like Dip**** Paul Harris but when the fight is still going you are in a kill or be killed mindset. Crazy **** happens and who knows with ref nowadays. Now that being said in this scenario I think Lewis knew Curtis was out and wanted to punish him for some reason and that is ****** up.

Askren spent the better part of 10 years talking **** about masvidal. It’s not exactly the same. Decking a guy like that when he’s out and done nothing to you other than be your opponent shows some self control issues tbh. There’s enough risk in mma without people acting like that. I don’t like askren tbh but masvidal gained nothing from the follow up strikes. He still would have got the hype and both would have squashed their issues after. I don’t think blaydes will come back the same from that loss and he will spend most of the year out now. But never mind your right it’s great for the sport to keep hitting someone after getting knockout of the year
