@Tosh I would guess that they'll cut Askarov the slack and give Benavidez a piece of his purse. Benavidez wouldn't want to miss the fight over a pound.
Glad he was the only person who missed weight. Adesanya wasn't lying about not bulking up for this fight - 200 is even a little heavier than he thought he'd come in at. Should be a great fight.

Picking the upset here, Cruz should be able to take Medic down and drag this fight to later rounds. Not really impressed with Medic's grappling, the AFC fighters always look sloppy

Jan Błachowicz, TKO, R2
Adesanya has great skills: excellent kickboxing, very good speed and takedown defense that has improved a lot compared to his first fights. Jan Błachowicz on his way to the belt showed many improvements compared to his past years: Incredible KO power against Rockhold and Corey Anderson, Good Cardio and takedown defense against Souza and excellent level management against Dominick Reyes. The Polish champion is very underrated as in his fight against Dominick Reyes, Jan comes from doing the best performance of his career accompanied by an excellent preparation where he sparred with left-handed boxers to be ready against any attack from Reyes. It seems to me that Adesanya is more focused on that his gameplan can beat anyone (he had more than 6 months to prepare for this fight and we will see how they do with the decision to fight at 200 lbs and not gain considerable muscle mass for the fight ), on the other hand Błachowicz always develops a specific strategy for each opponent. I chose Reyes for the UFC 253 fight and it was clear to me that giving up Jan is not a very good idea. If Błachowicz prepared in the same way as against Dominick Reyes I am sure that he will get the victory (either by KO or Submission). Also we have already seen bigger upsets in 2021, this may be a huge upset because of the media issue (like the Poirier vs. McGregor fight) but leaving that part it could be considered a moderate upset.
