Maybe it's part of his intimidation tactics to try and win the fight mentally before they step into the ring? Deontay Wilder often try's to intimidate his opponents with things such as screaming "BOMB SQAUD!!!" in their faces. I can't remember who said it but I'm sure some boxer said something along the lines of "Mental games only work on weak minded people and weak minded people shouldn't be in a boxing ring".
