We always wanted a top level world champion boxer to move over in their prime and try mma. This just happened because the pay for female boxers is trash and she wants money and for challenges.

She sounded like a complete **** on the Joe Rogan podcast to be real. Its also the same mentality alot of champion fighters have and also she sounded very immature and young in her thoughts.

So im torn if i want to see her succesful or becomes James Toney and embarrassed. Either way with her current opponent, they gave her a nice eady matchup for her 1st mma fight. Most of me believes she will eventually be taken down and mauled by a good grappler and reality will slowly sink in for her. She talk about Amanda Nunes and that will be the best in MMA. She will need a decade of grappling to deal with a Nunes, Cyborg, Tate or Kayla Harrison. No matter how supremely confident in her skills and self belief she has. Their will be a reckoning for her eventually. Im super excited for her debut either way

Shields is facing a woman who has been finished by a paper cutter in grappling, that must have hurt.

As I see, Elkin have a decent experience in grappling. Wont be that much surprise if she find a way to bring it to the ground and win by sub or decision like Mike Jackson vs CM punk

Shields, an excellent boxer, but is not a puncher at all. She has 2 KO's in boxing (1 of them was questionable!) She's not a puncher in her own sport, so you can't expect her to come to MMA and all of a sudden start knocking people out!

Pettis vs. Martinez
Anthony Pettis, TKO, R3
No bet under any circumstance. Pettis does not have the same hunger in him anymore and an 8-0 kid can definitely win this. Was impressive against Radzhabov.

Jenkins vs. Dizy
Bubba Jenkins, DEC
Bubba should be able to wrestle to 30-27 UD or even a finish but both fighters are inconsistent so no bet.

Shields vs. Elkin
Claressa Shields, TKO, R1
Claressa will murder Elkin. No bet as never fought in MMA, could get subbed or gas + even though this is a gimme fight the odds will be ridiculous and not worth a bet.

Loughnane vs. Diamond
Brendan Loughnane, DEC
No bet as both are very good.

Collard vs. Lutterbach
Clay Collard, DEC
Clay Collard should headline that card, they have a potential star in their hands, with brillant upset wins both in boxing and now in MMA against Showtime Pettis, but instead they match him up in the undercard against some unknown fighter, while Pettis is headlining the card like the loss was a fluke. In the end, the better man of the tournament will win, and it might very well be Collard, but he should be respected more here.

I really don't follow how PFL does their match making but you are right Clay Collard should be headlining. That is a smack in the face to him after dominating Pettis.

Honestly i just thought Pettis looked pretty bad in his last fight. I could definitely see him coming out and knocking this kid out, but i think he just doesn't have it anymore.

Sheymon Moraes third 1st round KO COLD? GEEZUS...
Movlid is a cold blooded killer.

Not trusting Pettis again, Martinez decision tbh. Pettis just laid on his back, striking looked weak except that little spark in the third.

Loughnane first round KO, Tyler Diamond pulled a miracle with his take downs sustained so much damage to come back in 2 months. Loughnane comes out to kill.

Claressa Shields by Decision, everybody's take on this fight is horrible. Claressa is NOT a legendary boxer and has little power, Elkins keeps her chin on center line and can't FORCE anybody to the ground. I JUST HAVE A BAD FEELING..
