The Hooker fight cemented that for me.
However, the later the fight goes the more it favors Poirier. But I still think Conor gets him out of there in under 2.

Both fighters improved very well since their first meeting, but styles make fights and Conor's style is much superior with more variety of attacks and better defense. It doesn't mean Dustin can't win this fight, however in their first fight it only took Conor something like one minute to figure out an opening for the KO so Dustin has quite a mountain to climb. I don't think Dustin's grappling is good enough to be brought to the table as a serious threat, and Conor's defensive work has always been very sound, even when he's gassed. Only thing Dustin can do is expose that weak gas tank of Conor but I don't think he survives that long. Also after idk how many fights, Dustin will freely walk backwards towards the fence and just succumb to his opponents forward pressure, while Conor literally wants you to do that. It's just a bad night for Dustin any way I try looking at this...

Please don't kill me, but I still think McGregor gets the job done inside one round. I know Cerrone is past his prime but Conor absolutely demolished him in a few seconds, and looked in excellent shape while throwing SHOULDERS, head kicks, knees, punches... I think he may be one of the most dangerous two rounds fighter of the UFC. Poirier is a tremendous fighter but his chin isn't the best, and he will have to survive a few dangerous storms to finish a tired McGregor after rounds 3 or 4. Conor may be an ass, but he's a violent one. If he wins this important rematch against Poirier, I think he deserves a title shot, and anyway he will get one, so I really hope Gaethje wins vs Khabib, so we can see a new exciting matchup between two of the most entertaining standup fighters of the world !

A lotta people got their money on McGregor KO Round 1. Yes, I see the reasoning, but McGregor by decision would be a better outcome. We could see this Zhang vs Joanna kind of fight, back and forth, McGregor and Poirier trading shots and Poitiers takedowns getting stuffed by Conor. Conor gets the split decision edge.
