Parlay Plays Main and co main

Predictions: 10 of 12 Winners, 3 Perfect, 620 Points   |   Tied for 127th

Dogs : Overeem and Edgar  @ +1206
Chalk: Volkov and Sandhagen @ -117
Mean: Sandhagen and Overeem @ +217
Prop: Yes TGD Sandhagen/Edgar -177
  NO TGD Overeem/Volkov   -265
Parlay (2 picks)    +117

Which play do you prefer and why?

I probably am going to play the parlay prop this as well as take the Volkov/Sandhagen parlay.

I think edgar is durable for 3 rds and will make this a dirty clinch and takedown stuffing dirty striking affair. His fight IQ should prevent him from being finished but he won't be able to control range enough to prevent Sandhagen from unloading strikes.
  • Sandhagen by UDEC
Everyone thinks that Overeem is "chiny" .  .so yes he is gonna go down. Yes he is over 40...but like Edgar there is a fighting resolve which enables him to fight through adversity.  Overeem being a slow starter and having that suspect chin...I see Volkov taking this in round 1 or Overeem grounding and pounding a rd 3 or 4 finish...if it goes past into the 3rd round check your live bet opportunities.
  • Volkov RD1 TKO

Theres lot of hype each time a rizin KO artist, like Kape, come to the UFC but I dont remember one beating a top 5 guy. (I supose Prochazka will be the 1st)

In the other side, Pantoja finished Moreno and Schnell and never been finish.
I could be wrong, MMA is harder to predict then horse race but I think Pantoja is a safe pick in this one.

@Pezzie
Overeem wont win with G&P. Volkov survive Curtis Blaydes G&P for 3 round and then taked the last 2.
Overeem can win a decision with grappling or KO volkov standing but I do think Volkov win this with a striking clinic.

@HiDeff that's a wild prediction, Hardy is riding high after calling the leg kicks undoing McGregor. and @Hyrm, Pantoja beat the 2018 version of Moreno, before the fire was really lit under him and turned him into the killer he is today. I don't think Pantoja has more than a 50% chance in this fight.

@Drmaxis2 I'm also surprised by the Carlyle cut. You'd think they'd wanna keep him around after how he beat Aalon Cruz. Speaking of, Cruz is fighting Uros Medic next. I can't wait to see that dude fight again.

They cut Carlyle? lol, I mean that's surprising but I can't say it's a tragedy. Dude looked like he'd never trained MMA and was just going in there to be more athletic than the other guy, only problem is he only had about six minutes of cardio.

More than anything I'm surprised Antonio Carlos Junior, he's on a losing streak but hes been fighting ranked guys.

Rosa vs. Edwards
Joselyne Edwards, DEC
Honestly, Joselyne Edwards' victory was something that made me proud as a Panamanian. I know that in the USA, UK or countries with many fighters in the UFC a victory is common, but for my country the first victory of a Panamanian in the UFC was the sports news of the week. Regarding the fight: Karol Rosa is a good striker with a decent knockdown defense, his fight with Lara Procopio was super close and because although he had a great performance against Vanessa Melo there was a clear difference with respect to the level. For her part, Edwards is a good boxer with a great BJJ. I think Joselyne Edwards will surprise the bets, it will be a close fight and whoever takes the initiative to look for takedowns will have the advantage before the judges.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 9 of 12 Winners, 5 Perfect, 625 Points   |   Tied for 119th

Overeem vs. Volkov
Alexander Volkov, TKO, R2
Overeem vs. Volkov is a true dream fight. I know there is a nostalgic factor to Reem's latest Title run, they are both great kickboxers, but I think Volkov has the upper hand in tolerance for strikes. Both are durable fighters, but Reem has shown problems in the first rounds against Sakai and Walt Harris, I think Volkov's fluid striking will allow him to capitalize on this opportunity against Overeem.

Sandhagen vs. Edgar
Cory Sandhagen, DEC
Sandhagen looked impressive against Moraes and although Edgar has a lot of heart, but in this pairing he is outmatched in many ways against a much younger opponent.

Stamann vs. Askar
Cody Stamann, DEC
Askar Askar has an advantage in size and reach, but Stamann has much more experience. I can see that boxing, movement and wrestling will be the keys for the Michigan native.

Ferreira vs. Dariush II
Beneil Dariush, TKO, R1
Dariush is in the prime of his career, The Assyrian is the complete package: Striking, Wrestling, BJJ and a great Fight IQ. His opponent is coming off a year-long hiatus and is primarily noted for grappling. The second half will be different, yes because this time Benny will win by knockout in the first round.

McCann vs. Procópio
Lara Procópio, DEC
Lara Procopio had a fairly close fight in her debut against Karol Rosa, she has a huge advantage in reach and has been falling down the division. McCann has an inconvenient match-up.

Zalal vs. Choi
Youssef Zalal, DEC
Zalal lost to Topuria (but this is a great prospect), anyway that loss should not end the Moroccan's drive and motivation. Choi's kryptonite is the wrestlers, but I see Zalal much more complete in every way.
